We've been lucky to have some absolute cuties in for their spay appointments lately (but let's be real, aren't they all adorable?). We couldn’t resist sharing some of our favorite happy snaps with you! 🎉

Also, have you noticed the shops are already brimming with Christmas cheer? This year, why not give the gift of kindness? Consider donating to one of the amazing animal welfare organizations in town. They do incredible work and rely on community support to keep helping animals in need. Let’s make this holiday season brighter for them too! 💕

Good morning, everyone! Have any of you had a chance to watch the documentary Inside the Mind of a Dog? If you’re a dog lover, it’s a must-see! It turns out that our furry friends have evolved special muscles around their eyes that let them make expressions—like those adorable “puppy eyes” we just can’t resist. These looks make us feel such a strong urge to protect and care for them. And get this, some dogs even smile!

While baring teeth can sometimes be a sign of aggression, some dogs use it as a way to show they’re calm and content (maybe even a little happy!). You can usually tell it’s a friendly smile by looking at their whole body language: a lowered head, wagging tail, relaxed ears, soft posture, and gentle, squinty eyes all help say, “I’m at ease.”

At Snyp, we feel especially lucky whenever one of our patients flashes us a smile! Wishing everyone a big smile this Monday!

P.S. Our clinic is closed today for some admin work, but we’ll be back soon to help care for your beloved pets!

🐾 Today at Snyp, we had a purr-fectly busy day – or should I say, it was a bit cat-tastic! 🐱 Thanks to the amazing support from 4 Rivers, we managed to sterilize 21 cats. From ferals to foster kitties and those from underprivileged backgrounds, all received a sterilization and a rabies shot. ❤️

Some of these cats have had many litters before, which can really take a toll on their health. Now that they've been snipped, we're hopeful their well-being will improve dramatically. 🌟

A huge shoutout to everyone who worked tirelessly to make today happen. We’re all pawsitively exhausted but incredibly proud! 🐾🐱

"Bob's your uncle... well, actually, let's hope Bob isn’t anyone’s uncle! This gentle giant just got snipped today, so he's officially out of the uncle game. Fingers crossed his littermates have also been snipped, because Bob is not looking to expand the family tree.

We know we've been a bit MIA on Facebook lately, but rest assured, we’re still out here doing the important work of snipping. Enjoy some happy snaps from the past few weeks, and remember, folks, 'Snip snip, hooray!'"

At Snyp, it's true, we're smitten with the pug,
It seems we've been bitten by the pug love bug.
Once bred in China for emperors grand,
They were the most sought after dogs in the land.
Napoleon's Josephine sent him letters in jail,
Delivered for her by her pug without fail.
With love in their hearts and faces so sweet,
They snore a bit loud, but they're hard to beat!

🎉 There's a saying, "the days are long but the years are short." Well, at Snyp, that's only half true! Our days fly by because we absolutely love what we do (plus, our adorable furbabies keep us on our toes!). However, this past year has felt like a blink! On Friday, we celebrated our first birthday. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported and worked with us - it's been an amazing journey! 🥳🐾✨

Hey everyone! 🌟 For those with teens, it's that time of year when they tackle their Life Orientation careers projects. My daughter's best friend interviewed me about my job, and it was such a heartwarming reminder of how fortunate I am to do what I do. This year, I've met incredible fur parents, amazing superheroes working for animal welfare, and, of course, so many adorable furbabies. Thank you all for trusting me with your precious little creatures. Who wouldn’t love coming to work with these funny, quirky, cuddly, and cute babies every day? 🐾💖

Another week has passed, and once again, we’re a bit behind on our Facebook updates. Every day we are blessed to cuddle your furbabies, ensuring they are warm, stress-free, and experiencing as little discomfort as possible when they are spayed or neutered.

This Friday, little Gabby Cage touched our hearts deeply. Found on top of a pile of rubbish, she was suffering from mange, worms, and biliary, barely clinging to life. A Good Samaritan rushed her to a local vet, where she was admitted to the hospital and put on a drip. After intensive treatment, she was finally ready to go home, and her rescuer became her new mom. In honor of the kind vet who fought so hard to save her, this brave little puppy was named Gabby.

Little Gabby came in on Friday to be sterilized. We are deeply honored to have had her at Snyp, and we salute all the Good Samaritans who tirelessly fight for animal welfare every day. 💔🐾
