A little Bit Of History
I began The Galloping Orange in 2015 when I first tried to make my horse his own blanket. I then turned it in to as a little side project for some extra money. My parents being the most supportive people that i know, started me up with a second hand sewing machine and my first batch of material. My Grandmother Sussie, taught me how to sew and off i went. With lots of practice i got better and better and then began to sell my products. When I matriculated in 2016, i decided that i wanted to study Bsc Nursing at The University Of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
I continued to do The Galloping Orange and use the money that i made to pay for my University fees. I make the blankets either first thing in the morning before my lectures and when i come home in the afternoon. I am now in my Third year of nursing and The Galloping Orange has never been so busy !! I am just blown away by the amount of support I have received and i am so grateful for all the positive feedback I have had this far.
I source only local material and products, I put as much effort in to every item and pay close attention to every detail. Everything is double sewn to make it extra strong. As i went along i got better and better and started to add to the amount of products i can make. It started just as a fleece blanket and now I can sew fleece, waterproof blankets, bridle bags, hay bags, paddock bags, stable bandages, dog beds, rider blankets and starting to make dog jerseys.
Just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me this far and for always being so patient and understanding. I cant wait to see what the future holds, Thank you for all the feed back, photos, recommendations and positive comments.
