🩶 A Gentle Reminder from us here, at Silverpaws Maine C**n Cattery 🩶

I know many people don’t mean it intentionally, but I feel it’s important to address something that’s becoming more and more common, messages with no introduction, no greeting, no context… just:
“Available kittens?”
“Price?”

Let’s put it this way:
You wouldn’t message an adoption agency saying, “Any kids available? Price for one?”
Because that would be wildly inappropriate, and honestly, quite shocking.

Now I fully understand that to some, animals may not be viewed in the same light as human beings, but for me, as a responsible breeder, these kittens are living, breathing souls. They deserve respect, love, and lifelong commitment.

When you contact me, you’re not just buying “a pet.”
You’re asking about a baby I’ve raised, nurtured, socialized, and protected since the moment they were born. A kitten who I’ve probably stayed up nights for, and carefully prepared for the world.

🐾 So yes, I AM selective.
🐾 I do ask questions.
🐾 And I will expect a proper introduction before discussing availability or pricing.

Because if I’m making the choice to bring kittens into this world, then the very least I can do is ensure they go to good, committed, loving homes.

There may be breeders out there who will sell to anyone with the money, but that is not who I am.
I breed with purpose, and I place with care.

So if you’re genuinely interested in a Silverpaws kitten, please take a moment to introduce yourself, tell me a bit about who you are, what you’re looking for, and what kind of home you can offer. It goes a LONG way, and it reflects the kind of love and responsibility I hope to see in my kitten families.
