As most would know by now, there were a lot of allegations made against us and the spca was called out to investigate the conditions of the animals in our care.
The spca was called to do an inspection, stating we have 30+ dogs and 10 cats. We do not, we have 4 cats and have never even had close to 30+ dogs.
Three of the were rehomed and the small ones were sent to another rescue org (due to our own decision to do so).

The spca has been to us and have found no faults in the care we provide, they have found no faults on the conditions of the animals, and they have found no faults on their living conditions, inspector is happy with the progress we are making at our new property.
He has also seen that we do in fact have food stocked for the dogs.
Despite this, we have decided that we will not be re-registering Kumandra at the moment.
We will independently each care for our personal animals and the 4 cats, as well as the last few rescue dogs.
We will be closed as of immediately.
We will no longer assist with rescue and rehomings, nor will we assist with sanctuary assistance.
We may revist re-opening at a later stage, but for now we are emotionally exhausted and need time out.
We will still be happy to assist with cheaper sterrie rates.

We would like to thank the rescue org who took in the small dogs.
We would like to thank Harold for taking over his rescue dog who was with us.
Thank you to Adrian for finding an amazing home for the pit bull Queen, and to Sue for taking her through to the South Coast.
We would also like to thank Sue for all of her assistance in terms of building, and really stepping up to assist us in every aspect she could, if I have to state each way she has assisted us, we will be here all day.

It has been a very rough journey, but we will always believe it was worth it.

Update: We have R200 donated so far from New Zealand 🥳 a huge thank you to the first donor!

We have a crazy dream. But we also have faith that we can do this.
We are urgently needing help.
We do animal rescue and have a number of animals in our care who depend on us.
In the last few years we have had horrible luck with properties, where we have needed to move a lot.
We find ourself in the same predicament currently, and we need to make a miracle happen.
We have found a place where the people want to sell rather than to rent out.
It needs work, but the property is perfect for the fur babies.
They have offered it at 600k to purchase (even though it's valued at 1.3 mil)
Please assist us in this dream to keep our doors open for the animals who depend on us.
The property is also perfect for the veggie garden we wish to start for our project of feeding the community.

We are urgently looking for a damaged house (it can be very badly damaged) that we can rent for a small amount while fixing up at our cost.

‼️Protect Your Pets from Tick-Borne Diseases!‼️

As we head into the warmer months in South Africa, ticks and other parasites become more active. These pesky critters can transmit diseases like Babesiosis, Ehrlichiosis, and Anaplasmosis to our furry friends.

➡️Prevention is key!

Regularly inspect your pets for ticks, especially after walks or playtime outdoors.
Use effective tick prevention products, such as topical treatments or medicated shampoos.
Keep your yard clean, and remove leaf litter and debris that can attract ticks.

❌️Symptoms to watch out for:

Fever
Lethargy
Loss of appetite
Swollen lymph nodes

If you suspect your pet has been infected, consult your veterinarian immediately!

We are faced with a dire situation.
We need help, urgently.
We don't know where to turn anymore 😭 each door seems to close in our faces.
We need property URGENTLY, we are facing eviction and mission impossible.... we need to find land, or anything really where we can set up for us and the sanctuary babies.
We have rescued some of these babies out of the worst situations and we will fight tooth and nail to continue keeping them safe.
But we cannot do it without you.
We have been trying for months now but on a small budget, it's hard.
We need land or an old abandoned property, anything at all to keep the babies safe. Or we are faced with the reality of euthanasia which will wreck us just as much as the animals.
Please help us, we must move this weekend. We are put of options.
Each place we find, something goes wrong and we cannot take it.
Funding is close to nonexistent.
Please, this is our last attempt at begging for help.
We will happily relocate.

We have found property at the last minute (literally). We must move out of our current place at midday Friday (31st January '25) ..... so basically we must preform a miracle... mission impossible.

We must CELAR bush and get the space ready as well as put up kenneling enclosures and cattery before 12pm... with NO manpower and little to no materials... we can get loads of treated wood for R400 per load (bakkie + trailor) but honestly don't have the funds for the amount needed.

We need a miracle 😭 If you can't help, please say a prayer because at this point only the most High can help us get through this now
