🌸 Wrapping Up Women’s Month with Sr Anita’s Story 🌸
Being a woman in the veterinary industry means defying stereotypes and paving the way to break barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field. I am surrounded by so many incredible, compassionate and strong women in the veterinary profession (especially in our practice) and they each make a difference in their own special way.
I am reminded of the privilege it is to make an impactful difference in the lives of animals and their families every day. As a veterinary nurse, the emotional connection with pets and their owners is vital and runs very deep. Some of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing the relief on an owner’s face when their treasured companion is going to make full recovery and to also be there emotionally for the families who have to say goodbye. We may be “working at the back” of the practice, but we are very involved in every aspect and decision that needs to be taken regarding treatment for our patients.
For me, being a vet nurse is more than just a career. It’s my calling, my way of contributing to the lives of what is often seen as the least in the world around me – animals.

It’s important to find the cause! Visit your vet to find the cause and help them feel comfortable again!
