Good news!
A lot of things have happened since my last post here but I am glad to finally be able to say that we are once again, open for horses. It has not been easy but it has taught us a few things.

We are now between Dullstroom and Belfast, on the Palmer road. luckily if you want to come visit it is now only about 500m of dirt road and not 8km!

If there is anyone who would like to bring your horses for training, please contact me asap as spots are limited

It is with great sadness in my heart that I have to say from the 30th of May, Mojo will be temporarily closed down.

The property that we are currently based upon has been sold and we have been given notice. We hope to get a new property still in the same area but as of right now, we do not know where that will be.

The riding school horses (Lanka, the foal Esmy, Prince, Timmy and Papilon) belong to the previous property owner and he has asked me to sell them for him. If you are interested in buying one of them, then please contact me. They are some of the best horses I have ever had the privileged of using.

I hope and pray we will be able to re open shortly after but I will keep everyone up to date.

Thank you for all your support

Sky was an amazing horse.

She had a passion for speed! It was sometimes quite intimidating but every time I let her run, you could see the twinkle in her eye! She once ran so fast that she kicked off her brushing boots!!!

She had a huge character! She was incredibly sweet but had a stubborn side. Sky was never wrong... She also loved to work. I will never forget this one day. I was teaching my one student how to put a bridle on when all of a sudden, sky walked up behind us and stuck her head in the bridle! She was determined to be ridden that day.

Sky would change to suit her rider. If a beginner was put on her back, she would be the most tolerant, slow horse you have ever seen. If you could ride but were nervous or off balance, then she would move more forward but still be that perfect horse. If you could however ride, or you thought you could ride, then Sky was quite a different horse! She would be incredibly forward going and charge at jumps or run her heart out at barrels. Her speed and passion often brought those riders back down to earth....

She was a teacher and helped many people get over their fears. She taught both children and adults various things such as how to pick up feet, how to be soft in the hands when riding and how to not pull the girth up to tight! But most importantly, she taught people how to love a horse.

You will be dearly missed.
May you carry the angels and never stop running!

This is the first horse I trained since breaking my arm in April. He has been such an amazing horse! He came to us quite spooky but after just one session, he was a changed horse. Well done to his stud, Kitima Arabians for breeding such an outstanding horse.

I'm going to miss you Shaker. You looked after me so well! It is a pity your time of training with us has finished. ;-(
