BETTY WHITE CHALLENGE

Today, 17 January, would have been the cultural icon’s 100th birthday!

Betty White had an amazing life; other than giving us so much joy and laughter, she was also an avid animal lover and advocate for improving the quality of life for animals worldwide.

She did have a particular soft spot for cats, as pictured with Mr. Bob: “My last cat was a beautiful Himalayan. He found me, just appearing one day. I thought I’d keep Mr. Bob (as in ‘Bob-Cat’) for a few days until I found the owners. Well, Mr. Bob wound up staying with me for 11 years. He was such a people-oriented guy. As my knees bent down to sit down, he was on my lap.”

In honour of her amazing work, the sprung up to pay her kindness forward to animal shelters worldwide. $5 is roughly R75, which won’t break the bank, but will make such a difference to our shelter cats and kittens.

10 DAYS TO GO!

Our Christmas Market is on 16 December, at our shelter from 8:30 to 2:30.

Come join us, say hello, do some Christmas shopping, and spend time with our shelter cats.

We’ll have lots of goodies for sale; from catnip to pet blankets, household items, children's books, Christmas ornaments and more!
There will be snacks and refreshments available too.

will also be there with their amazing silver jewellery!

As entry, please bring a cat toy or a donation for cat toys as a Christmas present for our cats.
