Folks, our Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre is a place of healing, both mentally and physically. One of the reasons they do so well mentally is because of Regine and Alan and our wonderful grooms. It takes a village folks, as they say, and you can be part of their awesome transformation from being scared, disillusioned, broken, untrusting of humans, to this😊🥲

Folks, remember Igor? The young stallion who was collecting water for his family when he was struck by a car, suffering a devastating chest injury that tore all the way down to his sternum?

Against the odds, Igor survived.

Today, he is alive, well, and enjoying a gentle walk with his "mom," Regine. Seeing him healthy and happy, is a powerful reminder of what patience, care, and a second chance can achieve.

Sometimes the best endings are the ones we weren't sure we would get.😃

Folks, Siya Sampula Mfanta did it, in 8:14:17 and by the finish line, we reached his fundraising target of R100 000 and those funds will go directly to the hard-working cart horses on the Cape Flats. Siya, you are a legend and finishing your first Up-Run ComradesMarathon Ultra Marathon 😃🫶👏👊

Almost five hours in for Siya Sampula Mfanta. He is running strong but the ultimate challenge is, Polly Shortts - The Final Boss. We are R12 000 away for Siya's goal. Come on folks, all the funds raised go to the hard working cart horses on the Cape Flats!

Polly Shortts is an infamous 1.8 km steep hill on the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg, renowned as the final major climb of the 90 km Comrades Marathon. Sitting roughly 7–8 km from the finish line during the "Up Run", it is widely considered the ultimate physical and mental hurdle of the race.

Siya Sampula Mfanta just passed Arthur's Seat: Arthur's Seat is a famous landmark near Drummond, roughly the halfway point of the race. It is named after Arthur Newton, one of the early legends of the event. According to Comrades tradition, runners greet Arthur ("Good morning, Arthur") and often throw a flower onto the seat as they pass. The superstition says that doing so brings good luck for the second half of the race. Goosebumps folks!
