Hoof&Hair Moisture Serum
After years of owning horses and being frustrated at the flaky dandruff and itchy tails that occur so often the owners of Harmonie Equestrian designed (after much trial and error) a simple and effective moisturizer for hair follicles, hooves and old scars.
The serum is non-sticky and the moisturizing effect is obvious on first application, lasting up to a week for a single spritz onto the effected area.
It facilitates mane and tail growth, scar healing and hoof wall moisturizing, and it can be used as a brilliant coat shine for shows.
The serum is comprised of natural oils that are sustainably sourced and ethically gathered, when ordering you can choose for the serum to be lavender scented (with high quality essential oils) or unscented.
How it works:
The first step to healthy hair follicles is moisture, providing a healthy environment for the follicle to grow in is paramount to achieving long lustrous manes and tails. The moisturizing effect also helps with itchy manes and tails due to dry growth beds and dandruff.
The serum is also an incredible detangler and creates an unbelievable mane and tail shine! This helps moisturize the hair itself and also gets rid of the need for silicone detanglers that dry out and break hair strands
When used for hoof moisture the serum goes a long way with on spray. After hosing the hoof with clean water and allowing the water to soak into the hoof for a few minutes, simply spray the serum onto the outer hoof wall area and watch the serum soak in. The serum helps with hoof wall elasticity as well as encouraging the hoof to not flake due to dryness, allowing it to expand and contract with ease.
For old and healed scars the serum helps keep the skin soft and elastic in order to prevent cracking and discomfort, and may even help encourage hair regrowth over scarred areas!
A precaution before use:
*Always do a small test patch on your horses skin to test for skin allergy. Whilst the ingredients are not known to cause irritation, some horses may be sensitive by nature. To prevent any discomfort or unwitting allergic reactions, or simply if you know your horse is sensitive to products, test a small patch of skin or tail dock area and wait 24 hours before use.
*For increased sun sensitivity due to the oil in the ingredients:
It is important to not over-saturate the skin with oil and then turn-put in the sun. For consistent and regular use always apply the serum directly to the dock skin, mane crest or hooves and not directly in areas where the sun may overheat it.
When using for coat shine make sure it is for a brief amount of time such as a show or turnout class, and wipe or wash your horse directly after.
Do not apply directly to the skin and turnout your horse in a paddock with no shelter from the sun.
No sun-sensitivity has been observed when applying to mane, tail or hooves and therefore it is mostly just a precaution for sensitive horses and hot days with no shelter.
