This little cutie was brought in to us on Monday as she was found running loose on the streets. No one has come looking for her yet. Does anyone recognise her? Please help us find her owner. She's a large breed, pittbull type, young female with a lovely, happy and very busy personality!

✔️ Motion sickness & calming support
Chat to your vet about anti-nausea tablets, calming supplements or pheromone sprays if your pet is a nervous or queasy traveller.
✔️ Enough food for the full trip
Don’t rely on holiday towns having your pet’s usual food — especially if they’re on a prescription diet. Sudden food changes can upset their tummy.
✔️ All prescription medications
If your pet is on chronic medications, pack enough for the entire holiday, plus a few extra days.
✔️ ID tags & microchip details up to date
Holiday areas can be busy and unfamiliar. Make sure all contact details are current.
✔️ Comfortable, secure travel setup
A crate, harness, or pet seat-belt keeps them safe and prevents roaming in the car. Add a familiar blanket or toy for comfort.
✔️ Vet contacts in the area you’re visiting
Save the details of the nearest veterinary clinic and emergency hospital before you leave. Quick access saves precious time in an emergency.
✔️ Water, collapsible bowl & shade
For long drives or rest stops — essential in summer.
✔️ Proof of vaccinations
Some accommodation spots or travel services require it.

The year is drawing to a close and our staff have worked really hard this year. We are closing the practice from 12.00 until 2pm on Wednesday 3 December for our end of year function.

Leeu has definitely won "patient of the week" this week. He has a super chilled out attitude and didn't bat an eyelid when he had his check up and vaccinations. Such a lovely handsome boy too!

🐾✨ Going to the vet can be stressful for our furry friends, but a little preparation can make all the difference! 🩺💙

🌟 Tips to Reduce Stress for Pets at the Vet:
1) Familiarize your pet with the carrier—leave it out with treats and toys beforehand.
2) Stay calm and relaxed — your pet picks up on your emotions!
3)Bring along their favourite blanket or toy for comfort.
4) Use positive reinforcement—offer treats and praise for good or calm behaviour.
5) Schedule visits during quieter times if possible.
6) Call us in advance of your appointment to talk about anti anxiety medication that we can give your pet prior to their appointment.

Remember, a calm pet is a happy pet! 🐶🐱💕
