Walkabout Dog walks We offer dog walking from Constantia & Tokai through to the City Bowl. Walking dogs in Cape Town means being spoilt for choice.

In the southern suburbs a favourite of ours is Groot Constantia wine farm where there is plenty of place for dogs to run and play off leash. We also walk in Keurboom Park, Tokai Forest, Newlands Forest and Deer Park- just to mention a few. Our walks are off leash for a full hour. All dogs are picked up and dropped off outside of that hour. We only walk in groups with socialised dogs. If a dog is a

ggressive, or very timid of other dogs we will only walk them on their own if time permits. It is a common misconception that if you have a large garden your dog doesn't need to be exercised. Socialisation is very important for dogs, and being able to run and play with other socialised dogs lifts their spirits as well as keeps them fit and healthy. It also stops unwanted destructive behaviour such as digging, chewing or even continuous barking. Dogs get bored just like we do and need some daily stimulation and exercise to relax them.

Today a chapter of my life is coming to an end. Since June 2015 Walkabout Dogwalks was my bread and butter, my work and all the dogs were my colleagues, and may I say the best colleagues in the world! From tomorrow onwards Barking Delights will be taking over the leash from me, and they will continue with the walks and to love the dogs as much as I do. I thank you for all your support during good and hard times!

In good and loving memory of Shandy. Every time I picked her up for her walk, she jumped up and gave me a hug. She had such a loving character and always stayed close to me on her walks, like a friend walking next to me. I will miss her!!
