Shark Cage Diving Cape Town

Shark Cage Diving Cape Town Have you dived with these predators of the sea? We have trips going out daily. Contact us for info on +27 (0)61 252 6618

Getting into the cage with the sharks around, is truly one of the most breath-taking adventure activities you will ever live to remember. When feeding actively around the boat, the sharks may occasionally brush their tail against the cage, but never attack the cage. They are very curious though and often come close-up to the cage, taking a closer look at the diver. A personal, eye-to-eye encounter with this awesome animal, is guaranteed to get the adrenaline going!

On Saturday an enormous 4.5metre Great White Shark was visiting the cage and bumping into a Copper Shark. It has been an interesting week with Great Whites and Copper Sharks sharing the surrounding waters of the cages in Gansbaai.

Our 2 resident orcas are called Port and Starboard, but this article shows that this behaviour seems to happen in other places in the world as well. Just when you think orcas couldn't possible be any more awesome, they get even better. New evidence shows these whales are really good at scaring off the most feared beast in the sea. Yep. Orcas have toppled the great white shark off their 'apex pred

At least the great white sharks have returned to our boats the last week, which probably means, old Port and Starboard (the 2 orcas) are currently swimming around elsewhere...

The orcas, named Port and Starboard, are believed to be the same ones that have been killing sharks over the past few years along the Western Cape coast.

We are happy to announce, that the Great White Shark has been sighted consistently again since the 6th of March. For those of you who don't know, the Great Whites have been hunted by Orkas on the coast of South Africa for the last 2& a half years. This caused the Great White to disappear from time to time for long periods and we now seem to have them back on our shores. Always just drop us a line if you want to come and face this beautiful creature and we'll let you know how the sightings have been...
