Initial dose (first 4 – 6 weeks) for horses less than 550kg is 3 level scoops twice a day.

For horses over 550kg it is 4 level scoops twice a day.

Maintenance dose for horses less than 550kg is 1 level scoops twice a day.

For horses over 550kg it is 2 level scoops twice a day.

Each scoop contains approximately 3.3g.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

The diosmectite is a natural clay characterized by a structure of fine overlapping crystalline lamellae which gives a high adsorbing power, to make it capable of incorporating the liquids present in the intestinal lumen, increasing stool consistency and slowing expulsion. The adsorbance power of diosmectite also allows the DIOMEC to interact with the glycoproteins of the mucous layer covering the gastroduodenal wall, changing their physical characteristics so as to form a protective gel against acid hypersecretion and gastrolesive substances.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Administer twice daily directly into your animal’s mouth for 3 days, or as directed by the prescribing veterinarian. Dosage can be measured by using the graduated syringe and the relevant calibrations on the syringe plunger in accordance with the animal’s weight:

Weight:

Foals (up to 60kg) 10ml (twice daily)
Ponies (up to 350kg) 30ml (twice daily)
Horses (500kg) 60ml (twice daily)
1 Tube = 60ml
