Today is both a sad and a happy day.
Yesterday we officially handed over the keys to our shop to the new owners.
We are sad to see our baby, Pet Food and Co, go... But we are happy to leave it in the very capable hands of the people of About Cats & Dogs - people we know care about your four-footed-friend as much as we do!
And we are pleased to say that Megan and Mickey will be staying on, so while the exterior of the shop may change, the heart and sole will stay the same.
Thank you so much for your support over the last 2.5 years.

Last (but most definitely not least) on our list of Unsung Heroes: Dermavet.
This is an antiseptic wound healing cream which increases the speed of wound healing. It also has antifungal, cooling, pain-killing, wound contraction and haemostatic (decreases bleeding) properties.

We are coming to the end of our range of Unsung Heroes. Number 7 is Diomec Plus.
Diomec Plus is a paste used to treat acute and chronic diarrhoea in dogs and cats. It contains Diosmectite, a natural clay, which binds the stool to normalise the consistency and helps heal the intestinal lining by forming a protective lining in the gut. A lot of people are collecting their furr kids from the kennels and catteries today after having enjoyed a school holiday or weekend away.
Kennels, especially for dogs, could be a a source of worm infestations. Other dogs who used the kennels facility may not have an up to date deworming history. Also remember dewormers kill the adult worms, other larval stages need to mature before being killed by a dewormer. It is advisable to therefore deworm your pet on the collection day from a kennel and then repeat the dewormer in two weeks time, thereafter every 3 to 6 months depending on your pets habit. Hookworm is a predominant worm type, and with a short life cycle can reproduce quickly. We suggest using a dewormer which is effective against Hookworm, namely Triworm.
