Even managed to clean some gunk out of a very skittish 13-year-old miniature Schnauzer's eyes! Some cats take a little longer to decide whether you're worthy... 🐱💛

Basie wasn't too sure about this stranger at first and kept a watchful eye on me from the windowsill. But before long, curiosity turned into friendship, and my little supervisor traded the windowsill for sunny brush sessions and cosy cuddles by my side.

Winning over a cautious kitty is always such a special feeling. Thank you, Basie, for trusting me. 🐾☀️

Pet-sitting in Kenilworth 🐾

I spent the afternoon sitting outside with the most gentle five-year-old pit bull I’ve ever met — a true soft soul wrapped in a very strong body.

Her main activity of the day? A very serious, very committed relationship with a piece of wood. Nothing else mattered. Not me, not the scenery… just the stick. 🪵

One of the best parts of house and pet sitting during winter is having a couple of furry hot-water bottles to keep you company. 🐾❄️

This photo was taken during a recent house sit in Burgundy Estate. As the temperatures dropped outside, a very content kitty and a sweet Scottish Terrier mix decided that the warmest place to be was curled up on top of me on the couch. 🐱🐶❤️

Moments like these are a reminder that pets don't just need feeding and walking when their humans are away — they also need companionship, comfort, routine, and plenty of love.

It's such a privilege to earn their trust and become their temporary human for a little while.

I'm available for both short- and long-term house and pet sits throughout Cape Town and surrounding areas.

One of the things I love most about house and pet sitting is getting to spend time with wonderful animals in beautiful surroundings. 🐾💚

I've just completed a 10-day pet sit in Stellenbosch, caring for three gorgeous woofies: Bubbles, Skye and Tory.

One of our favourite daily adventures was taking long walks through the vineyards, and this video captures a little glimpse of that. It was such a pleasure spending time with these three, and I'll miss them dearly.

A huge thank you to their owners for trusting me with their home and beloved pets.
