Mom & I both know that in order to find the places that CAN accommodate my reactive friendies, we also have to identify the places that absolutely CAN’T. 🥲
I went to the beach for the first time and it was fantastic (fantastically OVERWHELMING!!) but still fantastic.
Mom thought it might be a good idea to try the Bloubergstrand Beach, she always “remembers it being quite a quiet beach” and it is….but ONLY for humans!
My reactive friends, I don’t want to encourage you to visit this beach, albeit the views be out of this world!
There are funny humans in tight black suits and they run into the ocean and float on chew toys (and they don’t want us to recuse them?!)
Some of their chew toys have bird wings and they fly up and down the beach front (and we can’t chase/catch them?!)
I also saw many doggo friends (like… MANY!) mom was a little nervous because even though I’m a good boy, I’m still new, and the friends that didn’t have leashes ran RIGHT up to me while I was looking at the humans in the sea! I almost fell off the steps from fright 🫣
By the end of the visit I had met a few nice strangers, sniffed every blade of grass that other dogs had set foot on, had a BIG p**p in front of some people just to embarrass mom & keep her on her toes!k also forgot ALL my training & mom says my manners went out the window…I think a human may have taken them into the sea on their chew toy though..
Oh, well! Mom will just have to make some new manners.
My reactive/powerbreed friends, we DID end up finding a gem though which mom will be sure to post for you soon.
Until then, you are loved, wanted & you deserve the bestest of adventures!!! 🤞🏽
Yours truly (and drooly)
