Mr. Byron Booysen, our mentor, spent a productive day at Two Oceans' hydroponic farm at Bredasdorp Park, where he shared his valuable expertise on successfully growing hydroponic tomatoes. His students for the day were our dedicated team: Colin Windvogel (farm foreman), Fanie De Wet (farm operator), and Zolani Meje (temporary farm assistant). The training was conducted with professionalism and ran smoothly, leaving the participants enriched and inspired. Two Oceans is enthusiastic about this promising skill transfer venture, which will soon be offered to both new and existing farmers interested in innovative and sustainable farming methods.

This week, we had the honor of hosting our new partner from Zambia for a 10-day skills transfer training program. This collaborative effort will soon lead to the establishment of a hydroponic farm near Lusaka, built on the valuable experience we've gained here at our own farm.
This milestone is a shining example of how the vision of the management at Bredasdorp Park has grown beyond our humble beginnings. It has now truly ‘taken root’ off-site, meeting the need for sustainable farming supported by locally developed expertise. We’re excited to see how this partnership flourishes in the journey ahead!

This week, we proudly reached a noteworthy milestone—harvesting our very first batch of homegrown fish! These fish were born and raised sustainably, with their diet coming full circle as we transformed our vegetable waste into nutritious feed using the incredible Black Soldier Fly larvae.
To celebrate this achievement, we took our catch to Zuidste Kaap restaurant, where their talented chefs prepared a meal to remember. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey with us!
