🐾𝗪𝗘 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗔 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡. 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗪𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗘 𝗔 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗜𝗧!🐾
Starting Wednesday, 12 August 2026, the Brakpan SPCA is launching a vital new Outreach Campaign to reach the animals who need us most.

Because we are a small but mighty team, our office will 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝟏𝟐:𝟎𝟎 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 so our office staff can join our inspectorate team on the ground. Every pair of hands counts when lives are on the line!

We’re heading straight into the community to do welfare checks, hand out food, and offer hands-on support. But to make this project a lasting success, we cannot do it alone.

To kick off this project and keep it running, we urgently need:

✔️Collars & Leads (new or pre-loved—as long as they work!)

With summer around the corner, our team will be out in the harsh sun for hours. After more than a decade of loyal service, our beloved branded gazebo finally collapsed.

🐶 SOS: 8 New Little Mouths to Feed! 🐶

Our hearts (and hands!) are completely full. We just took in 8 adorable puppies who need our love, care, and a lot of nourishment to get off to the best start possible. We aren't quite sure what breed mix they are yet, but we do know one thing for sure: they are absolutely gorgeous!

To give these little babies the best fighting chance, we need some urgent help from our amazing community.

Opposites really do attract, and nowhere is that truer than with Kai and Peanut—the biggest giant and the smallest pint-sized resident at the Brakpan SPCA!

Both of these boys have been with us for so, so long now. They watch new arrivals come and go every week, waiting as patiently as they can for their turn to find a warm, loving home.

✨ 𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐓 (𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭):
Peanut is our adorable little Chihuahua mix who is true to his breed—a tiny boy with a big, spicy attitude! He is a spirited, loyal little guy who just needs a person of his own to cuddle up with and protect. Don't let his small size fool you; he has enough personality to fill an entire house!

✨ 𝐊𝐀𝐈 (𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭):
Kai is the 4-year-old St. Bernard of anyone’s absolute dreams! He is so incredibly smart, well-mannered, and loves showing off his tricks (especially giving his paw and sitting on command). Kai would do best as the star of the show in a home without cats or small dogs, where he can shower his human family with endless big-dog affection.

Meet Sunny! This brave 4-year-old Female Daxi Mix is searching for a patient, loving home.

Sunny's journey hasn't been easy. She spent a long time wandering town alone, eating whatever scraps she could find, and was terrified of being approached. It took time and patience, but she was eventually safely trapped and brought to the Brakpan SPCA. Now, safe from the streets, Sunny is slowly learning that humans can be gentle. She needs a special, understanding home to give her the time and comfort she deserves. Thank you to SPOT for taking the time to trap Sunny and bringing her to us.

Pietie is a super cute "tiny oakie" with loads of energy and a heart full of joy! He is extremely social, loves playing with everyone, and is sharp as a tack. A word of warning for his future family: Pietie is so intelligent that he has mastered the art of climbing! He will need a secure yard and an attentive family who can keep up with his fun, clever antics.

He always carries a sweet, "heart-sore" look on his face that just makes you want to scoop him up! But don't let those big sad eyes fool you—Sakkie knows what love is, adores human attention, and is a very social little guy. He’s ready to leave his stray days behind and be cherished forever.
