Chewing is one of the most natural behaviours a dog can have โ€” and yes, itโ€™s often why your shoes, couch, or wooden table legs might take a hit! But thereโ€™s a good reason for it.

In the wild, dogs chew to survive. Gnawing on bones and tearing through prey helps keep their teeth clean and jaws strong. Even though our pets no longer hunt for their food, the instinct to chew remains, and it plays a vital role in their physical and emotional health.
