Gallbladder Infections in Pets – What to Watch For & How to Help Prevent Them 🐶🐱

Your pet’s gallbladder plays a key role in digestion – and just like humans, it can become infected or inflamed. Gallbladder infections (cholecystitis) can be serious if left untreated.

Hero pet of the month. Misty’s Miraculous Journey
Meet Misty, our brave miniature Schnauzer, who recently faced a serious health scare. She was diagnosed with a severe gall bladder infection, caused by an alarming build-up of thick sludge, alongside dangerously high cholesterol levels.

After thorough evaluation, Dr Piet made the critical decision that removing the gall bladder would give Misty the best chance at recovery.
Our veterinary team performed the delicate and complex surgery with expert hands and unwavering dedication.
