Complaint received at SPCA:
1. We leave dogs in cages in the sun.
2. We re-use the water.
OUR SIDE
Leaving pets in cages in the sun
We do put pets in the sun in cages to dry them more naturally. Dogs ears are extremely sensitive, the hairdryer can be too loud scaring your pet and traumatising them in the process.
Your pets' time in the sun will never be for hours. As soon as they're dry your pet is either taken for final touches or moved inside.
Cages are covered with a towel. Cold water is provided throughout their stay and changed regularly for pets that stay longer than usual.
We re-use the water
We do re-use the water on the grass and plants though.
Your baby would never be clean if we re-use the water. Eeuw also!!
The water left in the bath is nothing more than the run off from bathing and conditioning your pet. Water is scooped out when there's too much in the bucket or when there are pets from different families. This prevents your pet getting a skin condition from another pet.
Cages, brushes and equipment are sterilized and disinfected daily to prevent sicknesses.
Pets who have fleas or ticks are socially distanced, dipped and all equipment used is cleaned with dip immediately after usage.
THE OUTCOME
SPCA has done an inspection and we are approved!!
I personally promise each and every client that no intentional harm or any form of animal abuse will take place at Pimpin Pooches where i am present. A reliable and trustworthy substitute is used if I am unable to be at work.
Finally, I'd like to thank the complainant. Thank you for ensuring pets are safe and sound at our place. I would never want to cause a pet any harm even if its unintended or by merely not knowing better.
You did the right thing by being a voice for the voiceless and that earns my respect 100%
