We are Border Collie Rescue & Rehab

We are a network of volunteer foster homes, which means all dogs adopted through us come from loving, caring homes straight to you. Since we don't use a holding facility, our dogs come to their new homes calm, relaxed, and ready for a new life, rather than being nervous and traumatized from the noise and chaos of a shelter. We evaluate, rescue and rehabilitate

abandoned Border Collies, as well as other herding breeds, and find homes that will love and cherish them forever. All of our dogs have been fully vetted to include all vaccinations, heartworm test (and treatment, if necessary), spay/neuter, and a microchip with Border Collie Rescue & Rescue contact information. Upon adoption, you will be provided with physical proof of all treatments and veterinary reports, along with a rabies tag and chip information. We will never withhold any information about any animal, and are happy to disclose exactly where we got our dogs from, and when. Our dogs have been temperament tested, and reside in foster homes with families who are active and diverse - just like yours! Our dogs are crate trained and housebroken, and have received training in basic obedience using only positive reinforcement techniques such as leading, shaping, R+, and counter-conditioning. We believe a rescued dog brings experiences with them when they are rescued and with our loving rehabilitation they become perfect lifetime partners. Their backgrounds may vary - from breeders, to farm dogs, to strays - but all of them deserve the unconditional love that they will be glad to give their new families. We bring them into our homes and rehabilitate them by providing them with love, structure and routine. We mend wounds and clean them up both emotionally and physically. We know you have many choices of rescues to choose from. However, we believe once you get to know us, you will find our rescue family to be the perfect match for you and your family.

✨🐶 Meet Miss Dottie! 🐶✨

Miss Dottie is an absolute gem 💎 with the sweetest, calmest soul. Young, healthy, and oh-so-affectionate 💕—if you sit or lie down, she’ll be right there by your side. Walk time? She’s in! 🚶‍♀️🐾 She loves to check in with a gentle head or nose boop 🥰

She’s perfectly happy lounging on the couch 🛋️ or zooming around the backyard 🌿. Car rides? Yes please! 🚗💨 She enjoys playing with her doggy housemate 🐕 and would do great with another pup or as your one-and-only ❤️

Cat-friendly 🐱✔️ and a total people-lover—new friends are her favorite! Estimated to be under a year old, she’s all gangly legs, adorable awkwardness, and a major wiggle butt when excited 🍑😂

✔️ House & crate trained
🦴 Still a puppy with some chewing urges (redirects well!)
⚖️ Around 40 lbs—tall but not heavy
✂️ Spayed & up to date on vaccinations

B-B-B-BEEEEENNNYYYY and the ✈️’s
(Okay maybe just Benny!)

This red-and-freckled blue-eyed heartthrob is a 9–10 month old, 40lb, neutered border collie boy with zero chill and endless love. Benny adores everyone he meets and thinks bear hugs and lap-dog moments are a lifestyle.
He’s playful, silly, occasionally distractible, and very smart—sometimes too smart (counter surfing for “research” purposes only). He’s vocal when excited, totally housebroken, great in his crate, and walks nicely once he gets his wiggles out.
Benny thrives with structure and would do best with experienced owners and a dog friend who can match his turbo-charged play style. After zoomies and wrestlemania? He’s a world-class snuggler who’ll happily snooze at your feet for hours.
If you’re ready for a lovable, high-octane goofball with a huge heart, Benny is your guy! 💚🐾

🔦 FOSTER SPOTLIGHT - Sydney! (It’s her birthday!) 🔦

Meet **Sydney** — the 30-pound, bob-tailed wiggle-butt wonder who’s *absolutely* ready to charm her way into your heart! 💖

According to Sydney, her current “Faux Mom” is *utterly intolerable* — constant compliments, nonstop kisses, and daily tennis-ball sessions. Ugh, the horror! How’s a girl supposed to get her beauty sleep when she has to follow her human everywhere like the dedicated little shadow she is? 😆

Sydney is a 2-year-old Border Collie/Mini Aussie mix with **sparkle**, **sass**, and **serious snack enthusiasm** (she would like it noted that *she* does not need to diet, thank you very much). She dreams of a home with a fenced yard for her world-class ball skills — trust us, she’ll fetch enough to count as cardio for both of you!

She’d love to be your **one and only** because her superpower is needing *all* your attention… and she’ll keep you more entertained than a whole doggie duo. No small pets or kiddos, please — Sydney’s zoomies and squirrel-chasing athleticism are best appreciated by grown-ups and bigger humans.

Sydney travels great, lives in the DFW area, and is ready to meet her forever person wherever love takes her.
