Neither rain, nor snow, nor squirrels shall stop the newspaper delivery 📬 🐾 This girl, thirteen years on the job and no plans to hang up her leash anytime soon!

We're hopeful for a litter of Golden Retriever puppies from Beau and Summer in just under nine weeks! Check out the video below of the happy parents-to-be enjoying a run together on the trail 🥾💛

Since breeding was successful and a Golden's pregnancy lasts about nine weeks, we'll confirm the pregnancy with an X-ray at around eight weeks in. That's actually the earliest we can do it — the puppies' skulls and spines need that long to calcify enough to show up clearly on the image. We use an X-ray rather than an ultrasound because it lets our vet give us an accurate puppy count!

An update will follow then — stay tuned!

Happy 13th Birthday, Misty!

We celebrated with a special vanilla ice cream from Dreadnaught Eatery, and she loved every bite!

Happy 13th Birthday, sweet girl! 🎉

Update from Summer!

Summer's cycle has officially started, which means we're gearing up for a litter of Golden Retriever puppies! 🥹💛

Here's the timeline:
📅 Ovulation expected in about 7+ days
🤰 Pregnancy runs about 9 weeks
🏡 Puppies will be ready to go home at 8 weeks old

That puts us looking at puppies heading to their new families sometime around the end of December/beginning of January!

If you're on our reservation list or waitlist, now's a great time to reach out and let us know if you're still interested — we want to make sure our spots go to families who are ready and excited! Just send us a quick message!

We'll keep you all posted as things progress!

There is no creature more pleased with itself than a dog who just rolled in wet sand and thinks they look amazing. (They're right.)

Two hours later: sand in places sand should never be(all over the house/car), saltwater hair, and a look on their face like they just conquered the ocean.

Post a photo of your pup below!

☀️ Summer vacation is coming — and we want to know: does your golden come with you, or do they stay home?

Golden retrievers were basically born for road trips. The window-hanging, the sniffing every rest stop, the way they act like the beach was personally invented for them...

But we know it's not always that simple. Some trips are dog-friendly, some aren't. Some goldens travel like pros. Others turn the back seat into a disaster zone. 😅

So tell us — what's your situation? Comment below with:
🚗 = My golden is my co-pilot, they come everywhere
🏡 = They stay home — we have a great sitter/boarder
✈️ = Depends on the trip!
😬 = We haven't figured it out yet, send help

AND — if you've taken your Harmony Ridge golden on a memorable trip, drop a photo and tell us where you went! We want to see those adventurous pups.
Bonus points if your golden's face in the car window is peak golden energy. You know the look. 😄

We love seeing our puppies grow up in their forever homes!

If you have a golden retriever from Harmony Ridge Kennels, we want to see them! Drop a photo of your pup in the comments: current age, name, and a fun fact about their personality. 🐶

Whether they're still that fluffball you picked up or a full-grown couch potato, we'd love to celebrate them with you.

Did you know we offer dog boarding? Your pup will be treated like one of our own, with fresh air, trail walks, and plenty of love while you're away.

This handsome golden retriever soaked up every moment of his winter adventure while his parents enjoyed their vacation. Two trail walks a day? Nino was absolutely not complaining!

If you are planning a trip and need a safe, caring place for your pup, send us a message!
