This sweet little old lady is Sophie. She is a senior girl who has unfortunately been declawed and is quite lonely.

She is spayed and ready for a family (preferably with no other cats) to love on her through her last couple of years.

Little Eva here has been with us since January, and we think she is ready to find her forever home!

She may be tiny, but she is mighty. I suspect this yearling will remain fun-sized for life, but don’t let that stop you!

She is a smart little thing, and will let you do just about anything with her. Just watch the videos (in the comments)! She would be PERFECT for the kiddos once she’s broke to ride. Or even a fun liberty partner!

She’s got the perfect amount of mare sass, with a puppy-dog gelding personality. And boy does she love her neck scratches.

He is in good health

He was diagnosed with blastomycosis about 7 years ago. He went through treatment and has been cleared of the disease. He did unfortunately loose sight in one of his eyes because of the blastomycosis.

He is good with children and other dogs.

He also knows how to open doors with lever handles.

He is a very sweet and affectionate dog.

Miss Ella, a 2.5 year old Cunucu straight from the streets of Aruba, has been waiting in her foster home for the past 4 months. So far, nobody has been interested in adopting her and she doesn’t understand why.

Coming to the states scared and shut down, it didn’t take her long to discover the joys life has to offer! She loves playing with other dogs, gets along great with cats and horses, gas a great recall, is crate trained, etc. etc. She is truly an amazing dog! She would do wonderful in a home with kids, and would be okay as an only dog or with other dogs!

She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and more than ready to find her forever family.

She is about 18-20kg and is currently located in Southeast Wisconsin, but ready to travel anywhere for her perfect match.
Her adoption fee is WAIVED!

Ears for days!

Little Benji is a Doberman mix pup that hitched a ride with me from Aruba.

He is the sweetest 7 month old pup you will meet! He doesn’t bark but he does love talking.

He cuddled all night with me for his first night in the US, and loved meeting the kitties. He plays perfectly with other dogs and has loved everybody he has met!
He stays by me like a shadow and just wants to be loved.

They are in Aruba waiting for their perfect familes. Cunucus are WONDERFUL dogs and you will never be disappointed having one.

We are flying back to Chicago on SUNDAY and would love to find fosters for two of them! They need to get off the island and into loving homes.

Y’all have been introduced to Moose… but what about Squirrel?

This dapper little man is a Manx kitten, being born with no tail. He has the cutest stubby little butt!
This dude can be sassy, but he also LOVES being near his person and following them around. He’s quick to come up and beg for head and neck scratches!

If you’re looking for a small cat with a BIG personality, Squirrel here is your guy.

Changing animals’ lives for the better

A couple years ago, I developed a soft spot for roosters. I occasionally found one or two in need of a home, and offered to take them. After a while, it evolved into special needs/rescue animals of all different species. I have many chickens with disabilities that need special care and treatment, but thrive with me here to love and protect them. I have an array of other animals that came from bad situations but are now doing amazing with me. Many have come to me with problems that I’ve corrected, and have since found amazing new homes to live out their lives.

My goal is to give a fresh start to animals that come from bad situations, and to help as many as I can. Eventually I will have the space for a wider variety of animals, but as of right now, I mostly deal with poultry and small birds/mammals.

With the help of others that work with rescues, I’m able to help animals in the Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin area. I look forward to working with these wonderful people more and helping even more animals in need.
