The Pet Blood Bank are a UK charity that provides a blood service for pets.

They run donation sessions across the country where owners bring their pets to have blood taken. This blood is then processed and stored for veterinary practices to use when needed.

Oh deer!! 🦌

This week Arthur Lodge teamed up with a local wildlife rescue to help take some x-rays of a deer that was found injured 🥺

We help with wildlife where we can. Whether this means taking x-rays or assissting in end of life care, we do our best to do our bit 🙂

Welcome back to these 5 fruity kittens, Raisin, Mango, Cherry, Fig and Plum 🍇🥭🍒🍈🍑

They are not quite ready to begin their adoption process as they are still getting used to be around people 🙂

But when they are, we are sure they will be scooped up in no time as they are just too cute 🤗

The fruity five 🍇🍒🥭🍈🍑

These 5 kitten siblings were left in a cardboard box and found by a kind delivery driver ☺️

Their names are Raisin, Cherry, Mango, Fig and Plum 🥰

One of our nurses is fostering them until they find their forever homes. That means we get to play with kittens and help desensitise them to people!! 😍

And I'm sure you can all agree that desentising kittens to human touch is no chore 😂

Amberley finds a home 🏡

Meet Amberley the rabbit who was found by a couple having a picnic in the woods for their wedding anniversary 💕

Amberley was likely owned as she is a domestic rabbit but her owners were not able to be found. The couple kindly took her in and have been caring for her since 🥰

She came in to get her vaccinations and a general health check which proved she was happy and healthy 😊

Cookie looks for treats while fishing 🎣

Cookie the 4 month old cocker spaniel decided a fish hook seems like a tasty snack 😋

Unfortunately fish hooks are sharp and will cause damage if left to pass through the Gastrointestinal tract 🫢

But through the amazing technology of endoscopy, a thin camera was passed down Cookie's oesophagus. This allowed vets to see the hook and pull it out successfully 🤗

Cookie recovered well and had no damage from the fish hook! 🥰

We look forward to seeing Cookie again as he grows and hopefully learns sharp objects are not tasty 😂

Gabi the 9 week old springer spaniel in for her microchip 🗺

Meet the gorgeous puppy Gabi who came in today to get her jabs and microchip sorted 🥰

Microchips are a legal requirement in dogs and also in cats. They are very helpful when it comes to reuniting lost pets with their owners or checking ownership 😊

Reggie the puppy has a sore leg 🦵 🥺

Meet Reggie, the incredibley adorable labrador with the best puppy dog eyes 🙈

This little guy came in with a very sore leg that came about unexpectedly 😢

After a couple of days of medication and TLC, Reggie is feeling better and his leg is less swollen and painful 😊

We hope this little man continues to recover so he can go back to running around and wagging his tail at every new person he meets 🥰

Samson the cutest kitten 🐈‍⬛️

Samson the 21 week old came in for his neutering procedure recently 😊

He did very well and was a very sweet boy with us 💛

We hope Samson continues to recover well and continues to be on his best behaviour at home as he was so polite while in practice with us 😇

🤍 Pebbles and Jet 🖤 are back for their neutering

Welcome back to kittens Pebbles and Jet. Some of you may recognise them from quite a few posts ago 💕

These two cheeky chaps came in for their neutering. As you can see, they were far less concerned with that and much more interested in destroying their beds! 🛌

No sign or towel went unchewed or was spared claws marks between the two of them 😂

But they certainly were an entertaining pair 🥰

A Massive Thank You 🥳

A huge thank you to this lovely owner for getting the staff a little thank you present for helping look after her dog Bella 💓

Bella's post can be seen from earlier in the year about her journey with diabetes. It is very informative so be sure to scroll down to find her and her very distinct black eye patch 🖤🤍

Our staff are dedicated to the wellbeing of every animal that walks through our doors. Therefore, kind gestures like these help keep us motivated and remind us why we work so very hard 😊 💪

🌼 Daisy 🌼

Daisy was clearly unfazed by her surgery last week as you can see her enjoying the sunshine in our garden afterwards trying to run around! 😂

This is quite remarkable considering she had an orthopoedic procedure called a CCWO (Cranial Closing Wedge Osteotomy) performed on her hind leg 🦵

This procedure stabilises the knee after a cranial cruciate ligament rupture (one of the ligaments that stabilises the knee) 🦴

Daisy was such a trooper and we look forward to seeing her continue her healing progress 🥰
