Good evening

Team SweetPea's wants to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that has sent kind messages via our socials, email and in person after we announced we had been broken into again last month

We are all truly touched by everyone's well wishes and support. We really do have the best and most loyal customers, friends and family.

We are still working with the police and as soon as we have an update we will let you all know. Sadly we have yet to find the whereabouts of our beloved basset dog toy that was also stolen from our sign in Tewkesbury last month but we haven't given up hope yet

🐾🐾🐾Top Tip Thursday 🐾🐾🐾

How much does your exercise does your dog get? Too much? or not enough? Quite often owners will walk their dog the same route and the same time each day. this can become boring for your dog so why not mix it up! Make each walk a new adventure

Here are some tips on making it fun and enriching with some easy changes

Don't worry, this doesn't mean you have to be hiking over the Malvern hills every day. It can be as easy as....

🐾 Do your normal loop walk but just the other way around. Simple as that! or even just changing the route slightly will making it more enriching for them

🐶 Leave to tennis ball at home and get your dog to explore their surroundings of the walk

🐾Let them sniff! So often we see dogs having a sniff whilst on their walk and owners dragging them away. Sniffing can release the mood-boosting chemical in their brain called dopamine. It's a lot like a yoga or meditation session for your pup. So, slow down your walk and allow your dog plenty of opportunity and time to sniff

🐶 Training - Incorporating training whilst out on your dog walk is great fun. It can be simple things like getting them to to sit and wait whilst you take a few steps back and then practice your recall. With the added distraction of being outside your dog will find it more challenging so pick a trick they know and do well at home and challenge them to do it outside!

🐾Engage with your dog - Don't be stuck on your phone whilst out on your walk. Run around with them, show them new areas to explore. It will help build the bond between you and your dog!
