ORCA - Organization for Responsible Care of Animals ORCA'S primary goal is to rescue any ill, injured, or in-distress animal, in Lancaster County. This is why donations are so VITALLY important.

It is the purpose of ORCA to respond 24 hours a day to emergencies, and to provide support to police, fire, and other emergency personnel when they are dealing with situations that involve animals. ORCA does not routinely handle healthy stray animals and wildlife, nor does it routinely shelter animals. Please bear in mind that ORCA is currently the ONLY group in Lancaster County that provides emer

gency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to help our area animals, free of charge!! If you would like to send us a monetary donation, please check out our website. Meet Pirate!

Pirate came to us with some bloody stool, but that cleared up with no issues and he is perfectly healthy! He is a quiet boy, but loves to get attention from staff or get some sun in the windows. He will be the perfect laid-back companion and probably sit by your side often. He does good with the other cats, and has had a little experience with small dogs and has done well. Pirate is fully vaccinated, neutered, and approx. 2 years old.

Meet Gouda!

Gouda came to us when he was just a couple of weeks old. Him and his siblings came in with eye infections. They cleared up quickly and were then fostered by a mama cat that was also in our care. Now that he’s big enough, he’s ready for his forever home! Gouda is spunky and playful. Since being with us since he was tiny, he is very socialized with other cats, people and dogs. He would do well with kids. He loves to be pet and get attention also. Good is approx. 4 months old, fully vaccinated and neutered.

UPDATE! Defendant has been adopted!🩵

Meet Defendant!

Defendant came to us with a large wound on the side of his dead, near his ear. The wound quickly healed and he is perfectly healthy! Defendant is very sweet and lovey. He is still a little shy sometimes, but is warming up quickly, and so far has LOVED his time at the cat cafe! He does very well with other cats, and has not been around dogs, but with his laidback personality, we believe he would do well with them. He also loves to play. Defendant is approx. 1 year old, fully vaccinated and neutered.

UPDATE! Matilda has been adopted!🩵

Meet Matilda!

Matilda came to us when it was claimed she was vomiting blood. Other than her being slightly malnourished and dehydrated, she was perfectly healthy. Matilda ended up watching over a couple of young kittens that came in soon after her. She loves to care for the younger cats at the office still. She is very sweet and lovey to staff members, but she is the boss when it comes to the other cats. She isn’t aggressive but she will put someone on her place if she feels like she needs to! Matilda would do fine with other cats and dogs, but they might get bopped on the head occasionally. Matilda is approx. 2 years old, spayed and fully vaccinated.

UPDATE! Wilson has been adopted!🩵

Meet Wilson!

Wilson came to us with a leg injury. It turned out to only be a sprain and with some cage rest, he healed perfectly fine. Wilson is very lovey and loves attention. He would get on staff members laps all day if he could! He is quiet and laid back when he isn’t looking for pets. Wilson is good with other cats and has been around small dogs and has done well with them. Wilson is approx. 2 years old, neutered and fully vaccinated.

EXCITING NEWS!!

We are so thrilled to share that we are now partnering with Lancatster Cat Cafe! Today, we dropped off 3 of our cats to the cafe! Chester (white&orange), Marble (grey tiger), and Autumn (grey tortie).

We are so happy to have a spot where people can meet with some our cats, since it can be tricky getting meet & greets scheduled at our regular office! We know they are in the best hands with Jax, and luckily we’re only a couple of blocks away. We can’t wait for you all to meet them and maybe find a new family member! We’ve also had a great time connecting with Columbia Animal Shelter now that some of our cats are sharing a space.

So go get some coffee, support a local business and hang out with our cats! Tag us in your photos, we’d love to see any pictures from your visit!🩵
