Your donations help with kitties like. He was dumped in an industrial area and by pure chance was seen by a few cat friends before he made his way to the storm drain.

Once in the storm drain, he was to scared to even come to food and was visibly skin in bones. With patience, he was eventually lured into a trap.

He in underweight, has an ear infection and will need to be vetted.

We got three messages today.
All from family members dealing with cat colonies left behind by well-meaning, elderly parents.

Dad’s passed.
The neighbors are threatening complaints.
The cats are now a fall hazard.
And the ultimatum? Remove them now or they’ll be euthanized.

This is exactly what Sharkitty Week was about.
Spay/neuter isn’t optional—it’s prevention. It’s responsibility. It’s love in action.

So let’s be blunt:
If you have a senior in your life, it’s time to have the talk.
Like we do with teens about pregnancy and STIs.
Except this time it’s:

“Mom… Dad… are you feeding unfixed cats behind the shed again?”
Because if the answer is yes, we’ve got a ticking time bomb—not a retirement plan.

Please.
Have the conversation before it becomes a crisis.
We can’t keep catching the fallout.
We don’t have the fosters.
We don’t have the funds.
We don’t have the space.

But we do have the heartbreak.

Kitten season is reaching its peak. This mama gave birth last week and she loses her temporary home Friday. She needs a place to go, along with her four children.

Ideally, the New Foster would keep them six or seven weeks until they are old enough to show for adoption. Moving them around repeatedly when they’re young can be very stressful, but if somebody can only do a couple of weeks, we’ll take it.

Help.

Just a few more days to grab your donuts.

Our Story

We are a small, informal 501(3)(c) non-profit rescue group. We hold mobile adoptions every Sunday at the Petsmart at 5500 Greenville Avenue, Dallas (near Lovers Lane) from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. We also do adoptions at other Petsmarts and Hollywood Feed stores on Saturdays, so check out the Events calendar.

If you see a kitty for adoption you'd like to meet, let us know ahead of time by texting us at 214-356-9126. We specialize in rescuing cats and kittens deemed unacceptable by animal control facilities and other groups. These animals may simply be the wrong color - for example, black cats often take longer to rehome - or they may have special needs. They may be FIV positive, have a chronic medical condition or physical scars acquired before rescue, or recovering from an abusive past. Rescuing special needs kitties is expensive, even though our vets give us discounts when possible. Please support us! You may donate directly to us by visiting Paypal.
