Being born on the streets is hard enough…
But being abandoned after once knowing love? That’s a heartbreak no dog should ever endure 💔

This sweet mama, likely a Westie mix, was once someone’s pet. But when her owner’s love faded, she was cast out, pregnant and alone, with only her scared pup for comfort.

A kind lady tried to help but couldn’t catch them on her own, so she called us.

The mama dog was friendly, so bringing her to safety was easy. Her pup, however, was wary of people. With calm patience and a mild sedative, we gently helped him too 🐾

Both are now safe and settling in with the kind lady who opened her heart and home.
🙏 Thank you for never turning away from those in need!

Many stray dogs involved in road accidents may be lucky enough to avoid severe injuries such as broken bones, internal organ damage, paralysis, or even death, but that doesn't mean they suffer any less.

Aiang is one of countless dogs we’ve rescued from the streets with eye injuries after being hit by a car. Like many other strays, he endured the pain in silence, frightened and wary of humans — a completely understandable reaction after what he’d been through.

He underwent surgery to remove the damaged eye, relieving him of pain and preventing infection. After his recovery, a kind local stepped in to offer him care.

This might have been a happy ending — a forever home — for most dogs, but not for Aiang. His stress levels rose from day one, as his freedom was restricted to the adopter’s property. His fear of humans and aggressive behaviour didn’t improve over time. In the end, it became clear that he was happier living independently, and he was released back to the street where he seemed more at ease.

While we wish every rescued dog could find a loving home, not all are destined for that path. For some, ‘home’ means the familiar streets they know and the freedom to choose where they go. That’s why, alongside our rescue efforts, we continue to push forward with our CNVR mission to reduce suffering and prevent more lives being born onto the streets.

Today is World Mental Health Day — a reminder that nearly everyone walks a hidden path behind their smile 🥀

We often hear “see a therapist”, “take your medication”, or “talk to someone safe”. And those are vital steps. But there’s another ally in mental wellbeing that’s waiting in many shelters right now: a dog (or cat). 🐶🐱

Studies show that spending time with pets can lower cortisol (the stress hormone), reduce anxiety, ease loneliness, and lift your mood.
Dogs and cats offer unconditional affection, quiet companionship, and a safe shoulder when words fail.

Imagine returning home after a rough day to a wagging tail, a soft purr, a companion who doesn’t judge, but simply listens. For many, that kind of presence becomes part of the healing journey.

If your life allows, consider adopting from a shelter today. You could save a life, and in return, they might just help heal yours.

You don’t have to face the storm alone🫂

Jai Dog Rescue is proud to be part of the Global Adoption Weekend for the second year running, partnering with Mars to encourage people to adopt dogs and cats from shelters — because every life deserves a loving, permanent home.

Adoption changes two lives at once — the animal’s and our own.
Most importantly, pets play a powerful role in supporting our mental health. In fact, over 83% of people worldwide say that having a pet has had a positive impact on their lives and wellbeing.

Pet injuries can happen in an instant 🚑

This poor pup suffered a deep wound to his flank after getting caught on barbed wire near his left hind leg.
In pain and highly stressed, he became too frightened to let anyone near, not even his loving owner. That’s when our rescue team was called in.

The wire was carefully removed, and he’s now receiving proper ongoing wound care.
We’re relieved he’s safe and on the mend, all thanks to a quick call for help, our team’s swift response, and your support, which makes rescues like this possible 🩵

Rabies is 100% preventable, yet it still claims lives. On World Rabies Day, we’re proud to be part of the fight to end it 💉

Our CNVR mission goes beyond sterilisation. Our vet team regularly visits temples and villages across Nakhon Nayok, vaccinating stray and community dogs and cats.

Each of them receives not only rabies protection but also vaccines against distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus, kennel cough, and leptospirosis, plus medication to keep ticks and fleas at bay.

Every jab makes a difference: protecting animals🐾 protecting our community 🏘️

Cute single girls ready to commit near you. Wanna meet? 💕
They’ve got hearts full of love, unlimited cuddles, and tails that wag with joy every time they see you.

They’re Jai Dog’s good girls, waiting for their forever homes. While many of our dogs have found families, female dogs are often overlooked. They deserve just as much love as the boys.

💡 Worried about heat cycles or pregnancy?
✅ No worries. They’re all sterilised.

💡 Think females are less sociable, cuddly, or trainable?
✅ Not true. Every dog is unique. Personality and behaviour come down to the individual, not gender.

🇹🇭 Living in Thailand? Reach out to us if you’d like more information or if one of these lovely ladies caught your eye.
🌍 Abroad? Please help by sharing this post so they have a better chance of finding homes.

Today is Puppy Mill Awareness Day – and Ivy is our reminder of why this day matters.

Once, Ivy was just a number on a puppy farm. Her life was reduced to litters and profit at the cost of her health. Years of overbreeding left her with lasting damage that even the best care cannot fully undo. Recently, our vet had to remove her troubled left eye, while the remaining right eye is gradually losing sight. 😢

Female dogs repeatedly used for breeding face devastating risks:
🚩 Uterine and mammary infections
🚩 Nutritional deficiencies leading to hypocalcemia, skin disease, and fur loss
🚩 Chronic illnesses such as joint and eye conditions
🚩 Exhaustion and a shortened lifespan
🚩 Emotional distress and behavioural trauma

No dog should endure this. Yet puppy mills continue to exploit animals for profit, while shelters overflow with those still waiting for homes.

Because of rescue, Ivy is now safe, loved, and slowly rediscovering the joy of simply being a dog. But thousands more remain trapped in puppy farms, harmed both physically and emotionally.

💡 Let Ivy’s story be the reason you choose adoption first.
Together, we can end unethical breeding and save countless dogs from suffering.

Namwhan was abandoned, most likely due to her eye condition.
One eye had become severely enlarged and blind due to chronic glaucoma, likely left untreated for years. Her remaining eye also suffered from a condition known as cherry eye.

Thanks to a kind local family who brought her to Jai Dog Hospital, our vets were able to remove the blind eye to ease her pain, and treat the other using a specialist technique.

Within just three weeks, Namwhan had healed beautifully.
And the best part? She was adopted by the very family who rescued her. 💘

They looked past her scars and saw the loving soul within.
That’s the kind of love every dog deserves. 🐶💕
