Meet Wilson 🐾🩵

This 14 week old Golden Retriever is already a total joy to work with! He started with us at 12 weeks, and his humans have jumped in with both feet and they’re building the skills, confidence, and habits that set him up for success now and down the road.

This boy is SMART. Seriously, he’s picking things up faster than we can throw new stuff at him 😂 And with his family’s sights set on hunting training down the line, we’re already having fun laying the foundation for that future with impulse control, focus, and a whole lot of good habits in the meantime.

I love when puppy training starts this early and this intentional. It makes such a difference to build the right habits from the start instead of untangling bad ones later!

This one’s going to be a joy to watch grow 🥹

Meet Winnie 🐾💛

This 12 week old English Springer/Lab mix is already off to such a good start!! Her humans are taking a proactive approach to training, focusing on building the skills, confidence, and habits that will set her up for success throughout her life, rather than waiting for problems to pop up first.

And Willow is already showing us that she has opinions about how she’d like to spend her time 😂 Between her Springer side and her Lab side, we’re having lots of fun exploring breed-specific fulfillment work and figuring out which outlets make her brain light up.

I’m always a little extra excited when puppy training starts with the mindset of “how can we help this dog thrive?” rather than just “how do we get her to behave?”.

I have a feeling this little girl is going to be a lot of fun. 🥹

Feel free to reach out if you’re unsure if your dog would be a good fit for the class. This is NOT suitable for reactive dogs, but I am more than happy to offer private sessions for our pups that need more space!

I’ve been training in rally for just over 2 years now and I have experience in AKC, CKC and CWAGS rally with multiple placements and High In Class awards. I will cover all of these organizations (as well as lightly touching on CARO) in class.

**We will need a minimum of 3 students signed up otherwise the class will unfortunately be cancelled and those who signed up will be refunded in full.

Meet Cassie✨

Cassie and her humans are doing an AMAZING job keeping up with “homework” between our sessions. This sweet girl is a smart cookie and I’m so proud of her progress!

Each of my private sessions are personalized for each dog and family. With Cassie, we have worked or are working on:
-introducing marker training
-loose leash walking
-engagement/eye contact
-basic obedience (sit, down, settle, recall)
-name recognition (she is newly adopted!)
-reducing jumping on people (esp her human kiddos!)
-reducing mouthiness when grabbing her collar

I’m Maddie, a certified dog trainer (CPDT) with a profound dedication to canine wellness and behaviour, and the lead trainer/owner of On Point Dog Training. With several years of hands on experience in the pet industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every training session. I’m passionate about fostering strong bonds between dogs and owners, and I prioritize a proactive approach to training, focusing on setting dogs up for success from the start. Through personalized training programs, I’m committed to helping both dogs and owners thrive together.

I offer in person and virtual training & coaching services and use science based methods. I specialize in working with puppies as well as sporting breeds. We are insured & Dogsafe Certified. I travel to you for our sessions (residences outside of Langley, Maple Ridge, or Pitt Meadows may be subject to an additional travel fee).

🐾Services & Pricing:
I’m currently offering intro rates until the end of September
-$300 for 4 x 1 hour private sessions (so you get one free!) which includes a written training plan and handouts
-$350 for 4 x 1 hour Walk & Train sessions (this is perfect for busy dog owners— I take your dog out for you during the day to work on your training goals and your dog is mentally & physically fulfilled, win-win!). References available upon request.
