As we count down to , is a great example of the lifesaving work we do here at TSDP.

First of all, how happy does this sweet boy look to be safe, recovering, and well-fed in his loving foster home? ☺️

One of our volunteers rescued Kai and two of his friends from the streets. We really don’t think Kai would have survived another day. The poor guy was in rough shape! He’d clearly suffered from some kind of blunt trauma that left him with only a pinhole from which to urinate, putting his bladder at risk of rupture. We immediately rushed Kai to the ER, where the had emergency surgery. All of this on top of a bad limp and numerous puncture and bite wounds.

Now, Kai is recovering in an amazing foster home. Soon, this sweet boy will be in good health and ready to find his forever home!

Kai’s medical expenses amounted to $6,000! And Kai is just one of dozens of dogs we’ve rescued this year, many of whom have required extensive medical care.

This 3-month-old cutie is almost forever home ready. But get those adoption applications in now!

We rescued this baby boy and two of his friends ( and ) from the scary streets just last week. They’ve all received much l-needed medical attention and are now getting much-deserved TLC in foster. As you can tell from this photo alone, Maverick is sooooo sweet and friendly and cannot wait to shower you with puppy kisses!

On Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, we’re thinking of our beloved companions who have crossed the rainbow bridge ❤️🌈

With heavy hearts we share the passing of alum 😔💔

We rescued Prince after a local shelter notified us that Prince was picked up from an abandoned house. The family moved and left this sweet soul behind 💔

We hate that he went through that but are so grateful it led to finding the loving forever family that he deserved all along! ❤️

We’re forever grateful to Jessica and family for adopting sweet Prince and giving him such a wonderful life full of love and sharing this beautiful tribute ❤️

“Our perfect best boy ever Prince crossed the rainbow bridge on Monday. We adopted Prince (well, foster failed) from The Street Dog Project in 2019. I could write pages about him. He was simply the best family dog. We adored him, he was the center of our home, and we planned vacations around Prince‘s coming with us and where he would like to go. The happy photo below is him with us in Colorado just two months ago. The sad photo below is the moment TSDP picked him up, abandoned and shut down. I applied for him the day TSDP posted him. We couldn’t have loved him more. My favorite dog.”

We’re heartbroken to share the devastating news that sweet Chico crossed the rainbow bridge earlier this month 😔💔

Our deepest sympathies to Chico’s loving Mom, Tiffany ❤️

Project Chico was rescued from the streets after Good Samaritan Melanie found him on the entrance to the highway...skin and bones, flea infested and shaking uncontrollably. He ran immediately to her when she called him like he was looking for someone to help him and we’re so glad she was in the right place at the right time and jumped into action to help him!

We’re grateful Tiffany offered to foster and welcomed Chico into her loving home and are thankful to all of you who donated towards his medical care ❤️

Chico was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease called GME and he fought hard but the combo of his health issues eventually became too much to overcome 😔💔

We’re thankful to Tiffany for taking wonderful care of sweet Chico and showing him so much love, compassion and kindness ❤️

“Thank you for fighting for him. I will forever be grateful. I’m heartbroken but he taught me so much and I’m grateful for the moments I had with him ❤️

has been ADOPTED!!!!! 🎉

Back in chilly February, a Good Samaritan contacted us asking for our help with a few dogs living on the streets. One of those dogs was Pepper, and as soon as we arrived, she jumped right in our car, eager to start her new life. Check out the video of Pepper greeting us - you can see just how friendly this girl is!

We are so grateful to Megan for foster Pepper 🙏

Pepper’s adopters have shared the following:

“Life with Pepper has been an absolute joy! It’s been so fun seeing her personality shine more and more each day. She’s a big fan of chew bones and hasn’t met a pillow she doesn’t love! While she’s not overly energetic, she gets bursts of playfulness and enjoys tug-of-war and playing fetch.

Pepper looks forward to our daily walks and loves exploring the neighborhood - I especially love watching the adorable way her ears flop as she trots down the sidewalk! My favorite part of the day is first thing in the morning when she hops onto my bed to greet me with the sweetest snuggles.

All in all, Pepper’s doing great and bringing so much love into our home!“
