Austin Bulldog Rescue’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving and knowledgeable families for rescued English Bulldogs. We rescue bulldogs from animal shelters, other rescue groups and from owners who can no longer properly care

for their English Bulldog. Upon intake, we place each bulldog into a foster home that has been pre-approved and fully prepared to care for the specific needs of each bulldog. We provide and fund ALL health care needs for each bulldog while in our foster’s care…including medications, surgeries, vaccinations, preventatives, supplements and of course, spay and neuter. When healthy, happy and ready, each bulldog is matched with a pre-approved family and if all parties agree it is truly a perfect match, the bulldog is adopted into their furever home.

📣 URGENT FOSTER PLEA FOR HUEY AND GALILEO
We cannot bring them into Austin Bulldog Rescue without secured fosters.
Please read. Please share. Please help.

Huey and Galileo have no future where they are. None. Both boys are stuck in concrete kennels with nothing ahead of them except more waiting and more heartbreak. They are sweet, gentle, and deserving in every way that matters, but they cannot start over unless someone here in Austin opens their home.

We want to bring them into our rescue so badly. We want to give them safety, comfort, soft beds, and real love. But we cannot do that unless we have fosters ready to take them in. Rescue only works when someone is waiting on the other side to receive a dog.

Huey
Huey has been in a shelter for months. He is kind, calm, and so grateful for any gentle touch. He has survived more than any dog should, and he still leans in with trust. But trust is not enough to free him. A foster is.

Galileo
Galileo is another boy who deserves better than the walls he has been staring at day after day. He is sweet and soft and only wants to belong to someone. He cannot keep waiting where he is.

Both of these dogs are running out of time emotionally. The shelters are loud and stressful and heartbreaking. They are not places where good dogs can heal or grow. They need to come to Austin. They need people who will help them finally feel safe.

We are truly begging for help. If you have ever thought about fostering, if you have a spare room or even a quiet corner, if you can give one of these boys a place to rest and breathe, please reach out. Fostering saves lives in the most real and immediate way.

🚨🎁 HOLIDAY FOSTER PLEA — WE NEED YOU 🎁🚨
Because if there was ever a season to give… it’s RIGHT NOW‼️

This is supposed to be the time of year when generosity comes easily. When people open their homes, their hearts, and their arms a little wider. But while the world is celebrating, our inbox is overflowing with Frenchies, English Bulldogs, and Bullies who have nowhere to go.

And we are out of foster homes. Completely.

Every single day this week, we’ve been asked to help dogs who desperately need a soft place to land. Strays. Seniors. Medical cases. Owner surrenders. Dogs who are freezing outside. Dogs who have been forgotten. Dogs who trusted their people only to be dropped off with nothing.

We want to say yes to them.
We should be saying yes to them.
But we can’t take even one more without someone stepping up.

When we say no… they have no one else.

This season is supposed to be about giving.
Giving warmth. Giving safety. Giving love.
Giving a dog a place to sleep that isn’t the cold floor of a shelter.

If you have ever even thought about fostering, this is your sign. This is your moment. This is your chance to actually save a life during a season built around generosity.

We especially need people willing to open their homes to the dogs who need us most:
our Frenchies, English Bulldogs, and Bullies who are being surrendered and found at a heartbreaking pace and have nowhere safe to go.

We provide everything.
You provide the safe space.
And that single act is enough to change a dog’s entire life.

This sweet bulldog girl has the softest heart and the cutest little wiggles. She loves her people, loves a cozy spot to nap, and is happiest when she knows she’s safe and cared for.

Hi! I’m Charlie, a 5-year-old bulldog and professional lover-boy. My dad went to heaven, and now I’m looking for a new family to love forever. I’m perfectly potty-trained, extra polite, and built like a cute little short-stack—which means no stairs for me, please! My legs are too smol for that stuff.

🎀 HARIBO’S FIRST TUTU MOMENT 🎀
Because every girl who survives the things she has survived deserves to feel this pretty.

When Haribo first came to us, she was skinny, scared, and so unsure of the world. She stayed pressed against our legs like she was afraid we might disappear. But today… today she got her very first tutu, and something in her spirit lit up.

She twirled. She wiggled. She waddled around like a tiny ballerina bulldog who finally knows she is safe.

It is amazing what softness can do for a dog who never had any.

Haribo is still gaining weight and getting the medical care she needs, but moments like this remind us that she is already healing on the inside. She loves gentle people. She loves slow affection. She loves being told she is a pretty girl. And most of all, she loves staying close to her humans like she is making up for all the years she did not have one.

Stay tuned as we continue learning who Haribo truly is. If this is how she acts in a tutu, just imagine her once she feels fully loved.
