Congratulations Finn!! We are beyond happy for you angel. Just over a week ago, finn finally found his furever home and it is going really well. Now he has a sister and farm animals as part of his new family. True to his temperament he fit right in immediately.

Thank you to Rick with Redwing Rescue for doing a swap with us last January and taking Finn to foster while we took his Kore. It worked out so well. Rick found him a great adopter. Finn is a perfect dog, just like his Mum and brother that we also rescued. Finn had to wait patiently for a year with us after being rescued from living outdoors in a pen. Happy, beautiful new life to you sweet boy.

We are currently experiencing EXTREME TEMPERATURES!! For the dogs and cats who are left outside year round single digit, below freezing level temperatures are not safe. Frostbite, hypothermia and even death is possible. If you know of someone who leaves their pet outside please ask them to bring their pet inside explaining the danger. If they refuse you can call Louisville Metro Animal Services dispatch line and request a welfare check due to extreme weather. Ordinance 91.090 (D) (1) (a) requires people to bring animals inside a temperature controlled building during extreme weather. You can ask to remain anonymous if you like.

2.5 months in boarding!! Ahh!! This is no life for a dog. Aside from one 15 minute break outside by yourself you spend the rest of the 24 hours in your day in a concrete kennel. Cookie had a home once, but it was with a known animal abuser. Then she ran away and ended up at the shelter. She found a foster home there who she thought loved her but they gave up on her. Now she is stuck in a kennel.

Cookie has a rescue but they need a foster home for her. This girl is a small, sweet doll with a great temperament. Who would like to finally give her the foster or adoptive home she deserves?
