**Loquat Leaf Preparation — Part 1 🌿**
The underside of a mature loquat leaf has a naturally fuzzy layer called **leaf pubescence**.
This coating is not considered poisonous, but the fine hairs may irritate the throat if they remain on leaves used for an infusion.
Before drying or brewing, we carefully:
Wash
Gently remove the fuzz
Rinse thoroughly
Dry completely
Strain the finished infusion well
Stay tuned—Part 2 shows exactly how each loquat leaf is cleaned.
**Important disclaimer:** This post is for general botanical education only and is not medical advice. Traditional use and early research do not prove that loquat leaf tea prevents or treats disease. Do not use loquat seeds or pits. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before use if you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a medical condition.
