🤔 If you’re curious which of our cats and kittens are still waiting for a family, head over to www.anbarrescue.org. You can see who’s currently available, scroll through their pictures & bios and fill out an adoption application right from the website.

Once your application is in, you don’t have to wait for an adoption event. We can set up a time for you to meet them any day this week. 🗓

Of course, we’ll be back at Petco in Layton next Saturday from 12–4 PM too... but if you already saw a little face you can’t stop thinking about, why wait until Saturday? They’re waiting for you now. ❤️

🎒 So… the kids went back to school. How’s that quiet house treating you?
We can help with that. 😺

While you were buying school supplies, finding missing shoes and wondering how summer somehow lasted both five minutes AND seventeen years… we’ve just been over here waiting for you. 😽💋

Now the kids are gone all day, the house is quiet and there's an empty lap. The entire couch going completely unused! 🙀

Seems wasteful! 💞 Especially when there are SOOO many of us who would give just about anything to call YOUR house ours.

💉📦❣️ We come prepared, too. We’re litter-trained, socialized, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered. The hard stuff is done. We just need you!

🐈‍⬛️🐈 Since everyone is gone during the day now, maybe take two of us. We’ll play together, nap together, keep each other company and burn off our tiny-cat insanity on each other instead of your ankles. Then when the kids come bursting through the door after school, we’ll be there waiting for them.

Come on... 😻 are SO EASY!!!

😻🐾 WE HAVE A FIRST & IT’S A PURRtty BIG ONE. 🐾😻

For the very first time, A New Beginning Animal Rescue (ANBAR) has kittens living, playing, lounging and waiting for their families at Wag & Whisker Society in Kaysville!

Wag & Whisker Society just celebrated their GRAND OPENING last week and they chose our rescue to be their adoption partner!!! How lucky are we?!?! 🙌🐾 Their brand-new Kaysville shop focuses on high-quality dog and cat nutrition, natural treats, enrichment toys and wellness products, and now they’ve opened their doors to ANBAR kittens, too. ❤️

Our kittens get to free roam in the shop, which means you can actually spend time with them and get to know them. You can play with them, cuddle them and watch their little personalities come out before deciding if you’ve found your new family member. Wag & Whisker will be especially wonderful for litters and bonded pairs, giving some of our kids the chance to stay together while they wait for homes of their own.

And who gets to make ANBAR history as our VERY FIRST Wag & Whisker crew?

🐾 MILLY — Female tabby, born 4/25/26

Hi! I’m Milly, and I’m playful, cuddly, adventurous and very interested in whatever you happen to be doing. I love climbing, chasing toys, napping in sunny spots and snuggling in your lap. I’ll even help with the laundry, join you in the shower and supervise while you brush your teeth. 😹 I absolutely LOVE water! I’m great with kids, other cats and small dogs, and I’m litter-box trained.

🐾 LILLY — Female tabby, born 4/25/26

I’m Lilly, and apparently I have the softest fur ever. I’m playful and affectionate, but I like a little time to warm up before I show you my goofy, loving side. 😽 Once I’m comfortable, I love chasing balls, playing and keeping you company while you relax. I’m great with kids, other cats and small dogs, and I’m litter-box trained.

🐾 NITRO — Male black kitten, born 4/25/26

I’m Nitro, and if you’ve ever wanted a kitten who would happily let you carry him around like an actual baby, I volunteer. 😺 I’m a very cuddly little dude and I absolutely LOVE being held like a baby and getting kisses all the time. If you’re looking for a little shadow who also knows how to entertain himself, I may be your guy. I’m great with kids, cats and dogs, and I’m litter-box trained.

🐾 MIDNIGHT — Male black kitten, born 4/25/26

I’m Midnight, and I’m a big personality with a LOT of love. I like to play hard and get loved even harder. At night, my favorite place to sleep is right next to your face, and I’ve already completely stolen the hearts of all the kids in my foster home. ❤️ I also have a habit of lying down with my back legs stretched out behind me that makes everybody giggle. My favorite toys are springs, I’m great with other cats and small dogs, and I’m litter-box trained.

All four are litter-trained, socialized, dewormed, microchipped (with a lifetime enrollment) and spayed/neutered. They have everything they need and are ready to find their families. ❤️

💔🐾 We weren’t supposed to need another adoption post. 🐾💔 We’re Harley and Dot, an 11-month-old brother and sister. Right now we’re together at Petco in Layton, waiting for someone to choose us. Again.

Almost two months ago, you all helped us find a home. 🏡 Someone saw us, fell in love and wanted both of us. We got adopted together, packed up our things and left rescue behind. There was no reason for anyone to keep sharing our pictures or telling people how wonderful we were anymore, because we had made it. Our spot could go to another kitty who still needed help because we had a family now. ❤️

At least, that’s what we all thought. 😿

For almost two months, we lived in our new home and became part of somebody’s normal life. We played together, slept wherever we pleased, used our litter boxes, loved on our person and did all the ordinary little things cats do when nobody is trying to get them adopted anymore. 🐾

Then our mom realized something she couldn’t have known until she tried: having cats wasn’t for her. She made the responsible decision to bring us back to the people who could keep us safe and find us another family, and nobody is angry with her for that.

But we’re still the two little cats who left home that day and didn’t go back. 💔

We didn’t know that when we climbed into our carriers.

We didn’t know our favorite sleeping spots were ours for the last time. We didn’t know there wouldn’t be another night in the home we had finally learned was ours. 🏡

We just went where our person took us, because that’s what you do when you trust somebody.

And now we’re rescue cats again. 🐾

Thankfully, we still have the one thing we’ve had since the beginning: each other. 🐈‍⬛🤍

I’m Harley, the black-and-white girl and I’m the more independent one. 🐈‍⬛ I love toys, exploring and playing with my brother, but I also love being near my people. I’ll keep myself entertained until I decide I need you, and then I’m coming for every pet, cuddle and bit of affection I can get. ❤️

My brother Dot is the white one and he’s the gentle little shadow. 🤍 He loves following his people around, curling up beside them and simply being included in whatever they’re doing. He’s sweet, playful and affectionate, and if there’s a sunny window in the house, you can pretty much guarantee that’s where you’ll find him. ☀️

😽👧🐶 We’re wonderful with other cats, comfortable with dogs and great with kids. We’re litter-trained and socialized, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered, and we’re current on our rabies vaccines. 💉🐾

We didn’t come back because of anything we did. There isn’t a behavior that needs fixing or some hidden catch somebody needs to know about.

💔 We were somebody’s good cats. We just aren’t somebody’s cats anymore.

That’s why we need you. 😽💓😽

Not because we understand what an adoption return is. We don’t. Tomorrow we’ll still play. We’ll still wrestle with each other. Dot will still look for somewhere warm to nap and I will still investigate everything I probably shouldn’t. 🐾

We’ll be okay because animals are wonderfully forgiving that way. ❤️‍🩹

But somebody reading this has got to want us, right? Like... really, REALLY want us! 🏡❤️ We thought we had already found that person.

So please share us one more time. 🙏
Please tell people about us one more time.

Please help us find the person who will put our carriers down inside their house, open the doors and never make us wonder why we’re being packed into them again. 🐈‍⬛🤍

We already had our “going home” day once.

❤️🐾 This time, we need our staying-home day.

Wondering who’s still available after Saturday?

We had some wonderful adoptions this weekend, but these sweet kids are still waiting, and we would really love to find their families.

If you’ve been thinking about adopting, please take a look at them. Every one of these kittens is ready for a home of their own and has so much love and personality to bring with them. Sometimes it really is just a matter of getting the right person to stop, look a little closer, and decide to come meet them.

And you don’t have to wait until our next adoption event. We can arrange a meet and greet as early as today.

There’s a reason so many of us can’t imagine our lives without our cats. They become family. They bring companionship, comfort, laughter, and so much love into a home. Sometimes you don’t even realize how much was missing until they’re there.

😇🐾 EVERY CAT IS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO BE THEIR ANGEL. 🐾😇

Tomorrow is National Be an Angel Day, and there are some very special cats hoping their angel is finally coming for them. ❤️

For a rescue cat, an angel doesn’t need wings. It’s simply someone who chooses them. Someone who gives them the safety of knowing where their next meal will come from, the comfort of a home where they can finally settle in, and a family they get to call their own.

Tomorrow, some of our adoptable cats will be waiting at Petco in Layton from 12–4 PM. Each one has a different story, a different personality, and a different idea of the perfect home... but they all deserve the chance to find it.

You don’t have to change the whole world to be an angel. Sometimes, you just have to change the world for one cat. ❤️🐾

Come meet them tomorrow and see if there’s one whose world you were meant to change.

🐾 Next week I'll be celebrating my first birthday and I want more than anything to have a family who will spoil me furr-ever! 🎉 I'm Andrew and I believe life is meant to be played at full speed. 😸 If it rolls, bounces, crinkles, or wasn't meant to be a toy in the first place... I'm probably already chasing it. I'm full of energy, endlessly curious, and always on the lookout for my next adventure. 👀

😻 Once I've finished zooming around the house, though, I'm more than happy to curl up for cuddles because I absolutely love being close to my people.

When I meet someone new, I can be a little shy at first. I like to take a moment to figure everything out before diving in. But give me just a little patience, and you'll quickly discover I'm a friendly, affectionate guy who loves making new friends... both human and furry. 🐶 🐈‍⬛️

I get along wonderfully with other cats, and I'd love a home where I can play, explore, snuggle, and make every day just a little more fun. 💞

I have great manners, too. Litter-trained, socialized ✔️ & ✔️
I'm a bit of a neat freak and appreciate a clean space, so I keep my little corner of the world nice and tidy.

I've been dewormed, vaccinated,microchipped and neutered so I'm ready to go home with you today! 💼

🐾❤️ PSST… WE HEARD YOU MIGHT NEED A CAT. ❤️🐾

Hi! We’re the cats of A New Beginning Animal Rescue, and we’ll be taking over Petco in Layton tomorrow from 12–4 PM! 😹

Some of us are tiny kittens still figuring out how our paws work, some are playful teenagers with plenty of personality, and some of us are grown-up sweethearts who already know exactly how good it feels to curl up next to our favorite person. We’ve got snugglers, explorers, little comedians, quiet loves and a few of us who will probably decide you belong to us before you’ve even finished saying hello. ❤️

So whether you’re coming to find your new best friend or you’re “just stopping at Petco for one thing,” come meet us.

Fair warning on that second one, though… that’s how they get you. 😏🐾
