🦷 Why Regular Dental Cleanings Are Vital for Your Dog’s Health 🐾
Did you know that over 80% of dogs show signs of dental disease by age 3?
Just like humans, dogs need regular dental care to stay healthy. Skipping dental cleanings can lead to:
🔹 Bad Breath – That “dog breath” might actually be a sign of infection.
🔹 Tooth Decay & Loss – Plaque and tartar can destroy teeth over time.
🔹 Pain & Discomfort – Dogs often hide pain, so dental issues may go unnoticed.
🔹 Organ Damage – Bacteria from the mouth can enter the bloodstream and affect the heart, liver, or kidneys.
💡 Regular cleanings, along with at-home brushing and dental chews, help prevent these problems and keep your pup happy, healthy, and smiling.
🦴 Healthy teeth = a longer, more comfortable life for your best friend!
📆 Ask your vet about scheduling a professional dental cleaning and talk to your groomer about keeping an eye on signs of dental trouble.
Unfortunately, I take photos like this in our salon nearly every day. This particular dog had his own hair wrapped and entangled in between his teeth from chewing on himself. There’s a cycle to this as well… the dog licks themselves, the moldy saliva gets on their coat, then they go on your furniture and you pet them then grab a handful of Doritos. You’re essentially ingesting your dog’s mouth bacteria. Call around to different vet clinics and get prices.
