After guiding tours in Fort Myers Beach as Sea Dog Eco Tours, I shifted the focus to what people were already calling us — Sea Dog Padd
le — dedicated to coaching, certifications, and helping paddlers elevate their technique, confidence, and credentials. My coaching roots come from being personally trained by world-class waterman Brody Welte, founder of PaddleFit, and serving as a PaddleFit Pro Coach since 2013. I am a certified WPA SUP Instructor and Safety Trainer through the World Paddle Association, ensuring every session blends technical skill-building with proper safety standards. As a lifelong sailor, I bring extensive experience reading tides, wind, and shifting conditions, helping paddlers feel truly prepared on the water. My background as an EMT and firefighter adds essential rescue knowledge — a key part of teaching effective, real-world safety and recovery techniques. I offer:

When I’m not on the water teaching or coaching, you’ll find me sailing, traveling, creating my own art, and designing clothing for my husband’s Indigenous Formline Art, . I also write, design, and consult on websites for small businesses, updating SEO and marketing—especially for those in water sports and eco-tourism—through my company, www.sailawayhosting.com In the summer, I’m based in Michigan near my grandchildren, and in the winter, you’ll often find me in Florida, prepping our sailboat for adventures sailing the Caribbean.
