There’s a new kid on the block! Meet female Grevy’s zebra foal Magnolia, born Aug. 16. 🦓

Magnolia is the second zebra foal born at the Zoo in just three months, two critical births for the most endangered zebra species in the world. And they’re both out now! Come and say “hi” to Magnolia and her mom Georgia at the public zebra habitat at Red Rocks.

Another Summer in the books! Thanks to Prairie Farms Dairy Summer Zoo Weekends, this might have been the best one yet. 😉

Starting tomorrow, Monday, Aug. 24, the Zoo will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Extended hours will return temporarily for Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5–7.

A new face is out at the Primate House! Meet Avana, female black and white ruffed lemur.

This 3-year-old lemur is settling in well with our resident troop, including 8-year-old males Hazo and Charles. Female black and white ruffed lemurs are dominant in their social hierarchy, and Avana is already proving she’s the head of the trio. Stop by the Primate House this weekend to give her a warm welcome!
