Our love for the German Shepherd Dog originated from the ideal that they are the complete package. They can and should be able to do it all.

Our goal is to breed dogs that conform to the standard for temperament, workability and conformation.

They're some dogs you cry over when they leave this world that weren't even yours. I didn't breed Sterling. In fact, she was a full groom adult when I met her and her owner, Katie. That being said, she was a hell of a dog and one of the few dogs that I can say I loved as much as if she had come from VHH. She was one in a million, and she embodied everything we try to instill in the dogs we do breed here. Rest easy, Sterling. We'll see you on the other side. Katie, you have all my love and long distance hugs.

✨ Health Testing Update at Zwinger vom haus Huro ✨

This week, Quidditch, Snitch, Sh**un, and Salem all had their echocardiograms completed. An echocardiogram is an ultrasound of the heart that allows a veterinary cardiologist to examine the heart’s structure and function in detail.

Why do we do this?

🩺 Early detection – Some heart conditions are not obvious during routine exams. An echo can reveal issues before symptoms appear.

🧬 Responsible breeding – Screening helps us avoid passing on hereditary heart disease to future generations.

🐾 Peace of mind – We want to know our dogs are healthy, both for their own well-being and for the families who welcome our puppies into their homes.

At Zwinger vom haus Huro, we believe that thorough health testing is a cornerstone of ethical, responsible breeding. Our commitment is not just to producing beautiful German shepherds but healthy, sound companions for life.
