Introducing YOSHIRO GO Hajimari!
🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁
Absolutely ecstatic to welcome this 6mo old Shikoku Puppy into our home from Poland! Very proud to have these pedigrees from the wonderful kennels of Karolina Kardasz and Laura Quadri. We are beyond grateful to Karolina for trusting us with this sweet boy.
Thank you Karolina for keeping him longer and working on his socialization and training. He's already settled in since arriving just this morning. Licking my face with zero shyness or skittishness. A sweet, stunning boy with a lovely temperament. We are very excited for your future, Toshiro!

AKC Meet The Breed Woofstock 2025! June 7th & 8th
Thank you for all the visitors that visited or Shikoku and learned about the breed. We had a lot of interest from Nihon Ken Enthusiasts and many judges as well! So pleased our local club was invited to attend next year, too!

Well, obviously little Kailani has a favorite breed. She is especially drawn to the Shikoku in the house from being raised with Shikoku Babysitter Lupo.
**Note to pet people, Daito is not kept in this crate all day. (He has a large, indoor 6x6ft pen or free roam) He is transitioning to a Guardian Home soon. So we are working on strengthening specific house manners.
Not sure what a Guardian Home placement is? Ask me!

Some of you might know that I'm in Japan right now. It's been amazing trip!
Yesterday I visited Hachiko's statue at Shibuya station. I felt a type of pilgrimage getting here. To this one spot dedicated to this one dog. Seeing his memorial got me choked up. Maybe it's for the love of dogs, their loyalty and in Hachiko's case, loyalty to a fault. Traveling to Japan by myself, for the first time has not been easy, but for my breeding program and other's, it's vital. I love so many things about this country. Not just our Nihon Ken (Japanese Dogs), but the people, and their dedication to preserve their culture, art, their environment and these National Living Treasures. Their actions to preserve are an example of their own loyalty. I was surprised this all hit me like that, seeing Hachiko's memorial. Standing in a crowd of people smiling and posing for photographs and here I am with my eyes welling up with tears (Silly woman). Then I realized it's about being not only a part of their rich preservation culture, but being embraced as a preservationist of these dogs. Thank you Hachi, to you and your species. We don't deserve dogs. ❤️
