Meet Cain ( ) - a soulful 7-month-old Shepherd mix who came all the way from Louisiana, hoping to find a family who will love him forever.

Cain has the kind of eyes that tell a story - one of quiet resilience and a longing to belong. He’s a little shy in new situations, but with kindness, patience, and love, he begins to shine.
While he’s safe and cared for at our Port Washington, NY Adoption Center, Cain would blossom so much more in a home of his own - especially one with a confident dog buddy to show him the ropes. (Bring your pup by for a meet & greet!)

He’ll do best with someone who has previous dog experience and is willing to continue working with him on his commands and confidence.

Urgent pleas to save abandoned puppies never stop !!! Three puppies were found abandoned on a Benton, Louisiana back road yesterday in the heat of the day. Thankfully, the puppies were picked up by a dog lover and not left to die in over 100 degree weather. The puppies are about 8 weeks old, weigh 10 ish pounds and can be separated in several fosters if necessary. They will go to our vet prior to going to a foster home, Please PM us if you are interested in fostering for approximately 3 weeks. All supplies provided. Thank YOU!
