WAAGR is an all-volunteer animal rescue dedicated to rehoming Golden Retrievers and Golden Retriever mixes. We have no paid staff and rely on donations and fundraisers to help provide for a safe and happy life for Golden Retrievers that need a new home. All of our dogs are fostered in the homes of our volunteers until they are ready to be adopted. This process includes medical treatment and behavioral training as needed. All of our dogs are neutered/spayed, and microchipped before being adopted.

We have the chance to welcome a bonded pair of sweethearts into our rescue — meet Avery and Ally, ages 5 and 6!💛

These beautiful girls are coming to us as owner surrenders due to a change in living circumstances. They’re looking for a fresh start and a family to love them, together.

What we know about Avery & Ally:
🐾 Crate and potty trained
🐾 Love walks, outdoor playtime, toys, car rides, and cuddles
🐾 Dog-friendly
🐾 Kid-friendly
🐾 Spayed and ready for their next chapter

Meet Sugar- the sweetest girl on earth. She is estimated to be 6 years old and was a breeder release. Now this mama is SPAYED and ready for the forever she deserves. She is currently in a foster home with an abundance of dogs and cats, AND lives with kids from toddlers to teens! She does amazing with all!

This is what her foster mom has to say about this girl: "Sugar is the most loving girl. She is SWEET and loyal, enjoying attention from her people and other pets in the home. She walks well on the leash and is described as CALM and fairly LOW energy. She is potty trained on a schedule.

"Sugar becomes a little timid around loud semi or trucks on walks, and sometimes lacks confidence, but loves food and treats so she comes around quickly. She tolerates car rides with just a little drooling. Her coat was in poor condition when she came in, but has been fixed right up."

Sugar is spayed, up to date on vetting, and microchipped.
Her foster believes she would do well in a home without animals if you don't have any, and has obviously proven to do well in a home with them. Fence or no fence, this girl is calm and likes her walks enough where it isn't a requirement.
