Today was a very hard day in the Pet Sitting business. One of my wonderful Pet Sitter’s on my team and I went to a meet and greet about an hour from our homebase in the mountains through windy back roads. It was a great meet and greet for our future clients but as we left I got a text that said “911”. It was one of my clients who was in a lot of pain and ended up in the hospital about an hour and a half from where we were. So I took my team member home, gave her the key to one of my jobs that I had to go to so she could go for me. Then I zoomed down the highway going a little bit faster than I normally do.
I called my Client who said his dog who comes to our house almost every weekend, was in his SUV, the air conditioner was on and it was very cool inside plus she had a dish of water. I was still very afraid that something would happen and his car would turn off. I got to the hospital and ran inside and asked the front desk person in the ER if they had his key and she said the security officer did so I got the key from him and drove all through the parking lot pretty quickly looking for his car. I finally found it, rushed up to it and looked inside and Daisy was sleeping and yes, she was okay! I returned the key to a security guard and took her to my house. All is well, but talk about a panicked Pet Sitter. She and I got lunch on our way and I had a little cry.🐾🥹❤️
I’m not at all perfect, but my team and I will do what we have to do to help animals!
