Pure INSPIRATION 💕

Sometimes you need a reminder of what pure, innocent hope looks like. Here it is - six little heartbeats, dreaming kitten dreams, trusting that tomorrow will bring warmth, food, and maybe... just maybe... their forever human.

Each face in this pile could be the missing piece in someone's home, the purr that fills a quiet house, the love that heals a heart.

Meet Garrick, the beautiful, sweet, and absolutely loving 7 year old, orange and white, honey baked ham! Our amazing boi was found in April when he showed up on a residents porch - dirty, malnourished, and drooling profusely. He was starving, but with each bite of food he took, it was clear he was in pain as he cried and pawed at his mouth, while hungrily trying to eat. Unfortunately, Garrick had stomatitis, an autoimmune disease that causes the gums to become inflamed, infected, and ulcerated as they attack the teeth, causing them to slowly and painfully rot. The only treatment - a full mouth extraction.

Now Garrick is fully recovered, neutered, vaccinated, toothless, and a very happy camper, looking for his forever home! Garrick is no longer malnourished, but instead deliciously plump - and sweet as can be. He absolutely adores his foster family, gives them hugs and enjoys spending time in their arms (and sometimes on his foster dad's shoulders!). He's enjoys lounging, cuddling, and watching the world go by outside his window. When Garrick isn't cuddling or giving his hoomans kisses, he also loves playing and chasing toy mice all around! Especially the ones that rattle, he'll toss them all over, and keep playing until he's lost them all under the dresser.

After everything he's been through, Garrick definitely would prefer to have his new hoomans all to himself. He didn't have many friends while on the streets, and his social skills with other kitties are lacking, and definitely have room for improvement. Other than that, he's just a loving and gentle soul who's looking for a lap to spend the rest of his days purring in.

Four more supporters joined our mission today, and we're within striking distance of doubling our original goal. Just $725 away from $21,625 - exactly double our initial ask.

One final day tomorrow. One last Golden Ticket drawing at 5 PM for any $5+ donation. One more chance to see how far this community can push this incredible achievement.

Michigan’s First Cat Café.

The Catfé Lounge is a community space where people and cats come together to enjoy each other's company, sip coffee or tea, volunteer, learn something new and make friends. We are a part of the Ferndale Cat Shelter - a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the welfare of cats in the Metro Detroit community. Cats and kittens at the Catfé are available for adoption, and the café is a community space where people can meet and socialize with cats and kittens before they find their forever homes. If you're feeling curious, stop by the Catfé for some self-serve drinks and snacks and to make some new feline friends. We offer self-serve coffee, tea and juice along with cookies for kids. We ask for a suggested donation of $10 to enjoy the space and support the care of our rescue kitties. All donations are gratefully appreciated.
