We are looking for progress not perfection!

We need boundaries and yes, everyone’s safety comes first.

But sometimes not everything needs to be turned into a formal training session because just being present with your puppy IS training.

Calmness, engagement and the art of doing absolutely nothing!

We want puppies to have personalities, to make us laugh, to fill our hearts with joy and to cover our face with kisses.

So go ahead, find a quiet moment to stare into each other’s eyes and fall in love….all over again ❤️

This is how the story goes…..

Step 2 of the IKEA instruction was easy!

Your little key is ready for step 4 and you realise you have a spare screw - it looks fine, you shrug and continue on.

By step 10 you have half a piece of furniture built and a couple of screws loose….by the end, a couple more screws - no biggy, probably just a few spares.

1 months later the furniture starts getting wobbly, 2 months later a crack appears and by 6 months old the whole thing is completely unstable.

All because of a couple of missed screws!

Now the exercise has become time consuming and expensive😡

You need to buy a better quality piece of furniture, unbolt and discard the old one and redo the whole process.

A puppy’s development is the same.

The magical about it, is that if you take your time at step 4 and accept that some things you just can’t rush you will never have to spend huge amounts of time and money on re-training or new furniture that has been chewed up.

Follow to build bulletproof foundations BEFORE you start your puppy training.
