Your dog is family not cargo!🐾🤎

Say hello to the newest member of Happy Hounds. She's not a work van. She's theirs.

Every single thing in here was decided by picturing a specific dog in it. 3 seats with proper secure seatbelts for the ones who love to watch the world go by. 4 crates in 3 different sizes for the ones who feel safest tucked away, with much larger crates that swap in for our big big boys and girls. 3 medium beds that change out for bigger ones, or come out completely.

Two ways to travel, and it gets rearranged on the day to suit whoever is on board. The nervous ones get their own quiet space. The pairs who never travel apart stay side by side. Nobody gets squashed in and nobody gets left out because of their size 🤍

Beds and crates are cleaned and reset between pick ups, so every dog steps into a fresh space that smells like nothing but a clean bed. And with our packs capped at 5, there's never a crammed van. There's room to spare, always.

Because the walk isn't the whole job. The journey matters too, and your dog deserves to arrive settled and calm, not sliding about in a boot.

As much as we've loved the Mini, she's my car again now. This one belongs to the dogs. It's their space, made just for them.

You'll spot us out and about in Flore, Weedon, Bugbrooke, Kislingbury, Harpole, Nether Heyford, Whilton and Litchborough. Give us a wave 👋

Tell us about your dog and we'll show you exactly where they'd travel. Free meet and greets are open now, or scan the QR on the back doors 🐕

Providing dog care that cares when you can't be there🤍

Officially declaring this Ted’s song. He didn’t ask for a theme tune but he’s got one now 🖤🎶

Farewell to three of our favourites 🐾

Bear, Tinky and Tottie have had their last visit with us, as their family are moving away.

Ball throwing, endless cuddles and three of the most loveable little Poms you could wish to meet! We’re going to miss them so much. Thank you to their family for trusting us with them.

Good luck in the new house, all of you 💕

Real summer in Flore ☀️ 5 AM walks, tough heat calls, but honestly? The extra dog sits and check-ins have been magic. We’re completely rethinking how we operate so we can keep doing this better. What would make a difference for your pup this summer? Let us know! #👇

GRWM to walk the dogs in 21 degrees plus.

Thick black jumper? On. Fur coat? On. Woolly joggers? Obviously. Shoes? Absolutely not, bare feet on hot pavement only.

Mad, right? You’d never. So why ask your dog to?

They wear their coat all year and walk barefoot every single step. Dogs can’t sweat like us, heat builds fast, and heatstroke can kill in minutes.

That’s why we don’t walk past 21 degrees. Early hours walks and Cool-Off Pop-Ins are still on - same happy dog, zero risk.

If the outfit looks ridiculous, so does the walk.

25/06/2026

Fur coat and zero shoes like it’s perfectly normal. Spoiler: it is not normal. I’m sweating in places I didn’t know could sweat.

But this is your dog. Every. Single. Summer. Walk. Full coat they can’t unzip, paws bare on pavement hot enough to fry an egg (and possibly me).

Here’s the bit that’s actually serious. Dogs can’t sweat to cool down like we do, so heat builds up fast:

20°C and up: risk starts creeping in
24°C+: getting risky, especially for flat-faced breeds and chunky lads
28°C+: danger zone
32°C+: life-threatening, no exceptions

This is why we don’t walk past 21°C. It’s not us being dramatic or dodging work, it’s because heatstroke can kill a dog in minutes and we are not gambling with that. Ever.

When it’s too warm, we swap to early hours pack walks or a Cool-Off Pop-In instead. Same wagging tails, none of the risk.

So if you spot me melting in a fur coat - that’s your sign. Too hot for me, too hot for them.

We won’t lie - it’s been a quiet week without our pack walks, and we’re missing the gang something fierce. But with temperatures soaring past our 21°C safety limit, keeping little paws off hot ground always comes first.

Calmer check-ins for now, full muddy reunions soon. Roll on, cooler days. 🌿🐾

Not right now it’s just too hot 🥵 But when it cools down? You’ll find Ted right here, living his best life 🐾🎶☀️

There’s nothing quite like the trust that comes with being let into a dog’s life 🐾 Every wagging tail at the door, every happy greeting, every muddy paw print is a reminder of how lucky I am to do what I do.

Being trusted to care for so many wonderful dogs is an honour I’ll never take for granted - and a joy that will never, ever get old 💚 Thank you to every family who lets me be part of their pup’s world.

Looking after your four-legged loved ones like they’re my own, always. 🐕
