NEL Animal Medical Center, the first local animal hospital in South Korea to successfully perform mitral valve repair surgery on a pet dog, has recently introduced a positive pressure system in Operating Rooms 1 and 2 to further enhance the safety of its surgical facilities. The center explained, "The introduction of advanced facilities such as positive pressure operating rooms is a strategic decision not only to improve the quality of heart surgery and surgical treatments but also to provide the highest level of trust to pet owners." Dr. Um Tae-heum, Director of NEL Animal Medical Center, stated, "Positive pressure operating rooms are a significant change that makes surgeries safer, especially for elderly pets with weakened immune systems or surgeries with high infection risks. Additionally, we have introduced the top-tier Perseus® A500 anesthesia machine from Dräger, Germany, to create an even safer surgical environment."
