🚨 URGENT: Blood Donor Needed for Max in Hanoi 🩸🐶

Dear friends and fellow dog lovers,

Max is currently fighting for his life. He has a severely enlarged spleen along with multiple masses that could rupture at any moment. He urgently needs surgery within the next week, but his platelet count is dangerously low, which means he may require a blood transfusion before the operation can safely happen.

We are desperately looking for a compatible blood donor dog in Hanoi with the following requirements:

• Healthy and at least 25 kg
• Between 1–8 years old
• Fully vaccinated
• No history of pregnancy
• No history of receiving blood transfusions
• At least 3 months since the last blood donation

The blood donation amount is approximately 350 ml, which is completely safe and will not harm the donor dog.

All expenses will be fully covered, including health checks, transportation, transfusion fees, and any related medical costs.

If your dog may be able to help, or if you know someone who might, please contact ADI in Tay Ho as soon as possible. Even sharing this post could help save Max’s life.

From time to time, we lose a beloved dog in this community. And every single time, we get angry. We blame “crazy people” who poison dogs. And yes, poisoning is sick and unacceptable.

But if you take one step back and actually look at the root of the problem, it’s not that simple.

People are angry. Not out of nowhere.

Every single day, I walk dogs around this city. And I see it constantly. Dogs p**ping in parks, on sidewalks, in front of people’s homes and shops. And owners just walk away like it’s nothing.

I see it from locals. I see it from expats. There is no difference. We are all guilty of this.

Letting your dog p*e on someone’s gate, their plants, their front entrance, like it doesn’t matter. Leaving p**p behind and expecting someone else to deal with it.

Of course people are going to get angry.

Again, poisoning dogs is not normal behavior. It’s wrong. But acting like this anger comes from nowhere is just dishonest.

If we keep ignoring this, if we keep being careless and disrespectful, then don’t be surprised when this keeps happening.

We can point fingers all day, or we can take responsibility.

Please pick up your dog’s p**p. Respect the environment and the people living around you. Make sure your helpers, dog walkers, and your kids always carry p**p bags when taking your dog out. Think about other people’s dogs, not just your own.

Unfortunately, it is often the responsible ones who end up paying the price.

If this continues, we are going to keep losing dogs.

Otherwise, we are going to keep losing dogs.

Not all dogs need the same kind of play. A Golden Retriever was bred to carry and deliver, not just run around. This reverse retrieving game taps into that instinct while adding control and focus. 🐾 Spud the Stud looks for his furever home🐾

Three months ago, we found a tiny dog we named Spud in heartbreaking condition — extremely thin, dirty, and with a badly broken jaw. While trying to find his owner, we learned he had been abandoned because of his injury and the smell. His owner didn’t want to pay for surgery.

Thanks to an incredible community, we raised funds for his treatment. Spud went through two surgeries, but sadly the infection was too deep and his jaw couldn’t be fully repaired. Despite that, he’s adapted amazingly — he eats, drinks, and is a happy little dog.

Spud is an absolute cuddle monster ❤️ He’s incredibly affectionate, loves being close to his people, and will happily curl up with you all day. He enjoys walks and generally gets along well with other animals. He’s currently living with two cats and another dog and it’s going well, though he can be a little unsure around bigger dogs.

We think Spud would truly flourish as the only pet where he can soak up all the attention, but he can live with other animals in the right home.

He does have some separation anxiety, which we’re working on, so he’d be best with someone home often (WFH or a family). He also needs a bit of extra care like regular teeth brushing.

We love Spud dearly and would keep him if we could, but our house is already full and with an upcoming move, we don't have the time or resources for another animal.

and it’s hard to ignore
Puppies kept in a small cage on the street, waiting to be sold. No comfort, no proper care, just stress and confusion.

Every time someone buys from this, the cycle continues. More breeding, more suffering. It might feel like you’re saving one, but you’re actually supporting the system behind it.

If you care about dogs, don’t buy from street sellers. Support rescues instead.

Dogs deserve better.
