A BRAND NEW NPO IN THE VI FOR 2020
The British Virgin Islands Equine Aftercare Rehabilitation Sanctuary (BEARS) offers rescue, care and rehabilitation facilities for all equines at risk within the BVI. Alongside this process we will assist Countryside Adventures at Diamond Estate Farm and Country Centre in promoting.quality care and management practices amongst the people of the Virgin Islands.
Our NPO vision states that 'BEARS will work to provide a long term safe haven for horses, ponies and donkeys suffering from abuse and neglect, as well as a conduit for retiring thoroughbreds able to repatriate to racing aftercare homes in the USA that provide retraining and purpose to the remainder of our equine's lives.
In registering as a Government of the Virgin Islands non-profit organisation and complying with guidelines set down by the Financial Investigation Agency, the 'BEARS' board members hope that they can provide, a transparent and separate fundraising mechanism to raise and receive funds in a manner not possible by a private business or individual.
We are delighted to announce that we now welcome offers of financial assistance from personal, corporate, governmental or other non profit organisation's funds.
