Today we said goodbye to one of the best horses I was lucky enough to have in my program. It was a tough day. Max was such a gentleman, a kind, patient teacher. They are all hard to lose but this gentle giant will always have a special place in my heart.

We had a blast at WEC this past weekend!

Reese Howard and Chinchilla ended up champion in the low children’s Hunter with multiple top two finishes, as well as being third in the 2’6 classic!

Amelia Weddle and Nickelback had lots of ribbons in the low children’s hunters, as well as a 6th place finish in the 2’6 classic. Amelia also had a great round in the HJAM medal, finishing 4th!

Maggie white and Catalina HM had a great last show together, with a third place finish in the children’s 3’ classic, as well as a 6th in the THIS children’s medal!

We had a great time celebrating Halloween at WEC Fall Classic # 5!

Reese Howard and Maggie White or the Lorax and the Once-ler? It was hard to tell as these two took on costumed hunt teams! Even Amy was seen dressed up, it was a very fun evening!

Reese Howard and Motor City ended their divisions champion (limit eq) and reserve champion (limit hunter)!

Maggie White and Chinchilla finished 3rd in the 15-17 THIS, and 5th in the Children’s Hunter Classic!

Maggie White and Catalina HM finished 4th in the WEC Medal, and 9th in the Children’s Hunter Classic!

Jackie Hoover and Peppermint Prince had great trips in the low adult hunters and eq with ribbons out of large classes!

Katrina Seitz and Corallo J had great trips in the low adult hunters and eq, they had several top 4 finishes! It was their first time in the show ring together, WEC made it such an incredible experience!

Amy Ochoa and Corallo J had great trips including a 3rd place finish in the 3’3” Performance, and finished 6th in the Open Hunter Derby!

Amy Ochoa rode Clifford at his WEC debut, he was great all week and had multiple baby green ribbons including a 3rd over fences!

Great job everyone, it was a fun week!

Welcome to your forever home, Chinchilla White! 🎉❤️🦄 Chilly and Maggie have been a dynamic duo for the past 1.5 years. The whole White family fell in love with Chilly’s incredible personality and character and it became clear - Mark needed a son! We are thrilled that Chilly is forever part of this incredible family. We had a great week at Lamplight’s Fall Classic! It was a beautiful week with growth for all horses and riders.

Maggie White and Chinchilla finished reserve champion in the children’s equitation 🎉

Catherine Walz and Belisario de Lex had great trips as Catherine moved Rio up to the 2’6” at his first rated show!

Kathy Shoemaker and Corbally Marty had great rounds in the 2’6” Adult Eq and Low Adult hunter.

Maureen McIlhany had a great week with her horses Borasco and Newcastle.

We are heartbroken to share last night we lost one of our lesson horses, Ari. We will miss this guy, we are so lucky for the impact he has had on our program and riders. 🦄❤️

What a wildly fun weekend at the 2025 Indiana Hunter Jumper Association Annual Show & 2025 Medal Finals! The Wild West theme was so much fun! There was stiff competition, but team Sierra Woods won the stall decorating contest! Yeehaw! 🤠🎉

There were many riding accomplishments as well, we are so proud of all 16 horses and riders for putting in the hard work to make this weekend so successful!

Reese Howard and Motor City won the 2’ IHJA Mini Medal, champion in the long stirrup hunter, and champion in the long stirrup equitation!

Claire Williams and Boris de Bruz were champion in the low adult hunter, and these two and their partners Catherine and Rio won “best costume” in the 2’ costumed hunt teams!

Catherine Walz and Belisario de Lex had beautiful trips, including finishing 5th in the 2’ IHJA Mini Medal and winning best costume in the 2’ costumed hunt teams’

Clara Nelson and Spectible Brillance were reserve in the IHJA X rail medal, and reserve champion in the beginner junior rider equitation and reserve champion in the beginner rider hunter!

Kathy Shoemaker and Corbally Marty had finished reserve champion in the low adult hunter, and 4th in the IHJA 2’6” Low Adult/ Children’s Medal! They also won the 2’ costumed hunt teams with their partners Amelia and Miles!

Amelia Weddle and Nickelback had multiple top 3 finishes in the IHJA 2’3” over fences, they also finished first in the 2’ costumed hunt teams with their partners Kathy and Dewy!

Jupiter Rising had an incredible first horseshow! With his owner Judy Desmond in the tack, the pair had great trips in the ground poles including several top placings! Alex also debuted in the IHJA 2’ hunters, finishing 3rd in one of his over fences!

Caroline Gable and White Lighting had great trips including a 3rd place finish in the X rail medal!

Reis Ahlfeld and Marengo were champion in the low children’s hunter, champion in the 12-14 equitation, and finished 2nd in the IHJA 2’6” costumed hunt teams with their partners Charlotte and Cruz!

Charlotte Mould and Rush Hour were champion in the 15-17 Equitation, 3rd in the IHJA 3’ Children’s Medal, and finished 2nd in the IHJA 2’6” costumed hunt teams.

Tessa Bright and Cindy Lauper were champion in the beginner junior rider equitation!

Chinchilla and the White sisters had a big weekend! Maggie White and Chinchilla were champion in the 3’ Children’s Medal, reserve champion in the children’s hunter, and finished 1st in the 2’6” IHJA costumed hunt teams with Erica and Callie! Ruth White had her first show ever riding Chilly, they ended up reserve champion in the open ground pole Hunter!

Catalina HM and Maggie White were champion in the children’s hunter, reserve champion in the 15-17 equitation, and won the IHJA 2’6” costumes hunt teams with Maggie and Chilly!

Banu Heydarpour and Pacific Ocean finished 6th in the 2’ IHJA Mini Medal, reserve champion in the long stirrup equitation, and moved up to the 2’3” hunter!

Maureen McIlhany and Newcastle had great trips in the 0.60-0.75 jumpers.

Maureen McIlhany and Borasco had great trips including a first place finish in the 0.90-0.95 m jumpers.

We had a great time at WEC’s Summer II show! Lots of fun as some of our college kids wrapped up the summer with us.

Sarah Gould and Nickelback were champion in the Thoroughbred Hunter, and 4th in the adult Hunter Classic.

Margaret White and Chinchilla were champion in the older children’s hunter, and finished 7th in the children’s classic.

Margaret White and Catalina HM won the HJAM 3’ Medal, had multiple top 3 finishes in the children’s over fences, and finished 9th in the children’s classic.

Gracie Guenthner and Virgo finished 6th in the adult Hunter Classic.

Maureen McIlhany and Borasco finished reserve champion in the 0.90 m novice jumpers and 2nd in the 0.90 m Novice Jumper Classic.

Jackie Hoover and Peppermint Prince had lovely rounds and multiple ribbons over fences including 4th in a low adult hunter over fences.

Amy Ochoa and Corallo J finished reserve champion in the 3’3” performance!

We had a great time at Summer WEC, it was a great way to wrap up the summer! Great job everyone.

We had a great week at Waterloo Hunter/Jumper Shows Classic 1 & 2!

Brooklyn Engle & Sol Naciente laid it down consistently all week. They had multiple top placings in the adult amateur hunter, they were 2nd in the classic week one, they finished champion week two and they were 3rd in the national derby.

Kathy Shoemaker and Corbally Marty moved up to the 2’6” at Waterloo and had incredible success! They won an over fences in the intermediate child / adult hunter 2’6”, and had great success in the 2’6” equitation!

Catherine Walz and Corbally Marty had great trips, they finished 2nd in a low children’s eq fences and were 6th in the non-pro derby!

Sarah Gould and Nickelback won the HJAM Adult medal, the Ariat adult medal, they were champion in the adult equitation, and had great rounds in the thoroughbred hunters.

Gracie Guenthner and Virgo moved up to the 3’3” A/O’s and had multiple top 3 finishes! Virgo showed in the 3’6” performance and ended champion.

Grace Schubert and Boris de Bruz played in the equitation during week one and finished 2nd in the THIS Adult Medal, 2nd in the HJAM Adult Medal, and had great rounds with multiple clear rounds in the 0.90 m Jumpers.

Amy Ochoa and Clifford had a great first show in the future hunters, they finished 1st and 2nd in a few of their over fences.

Maggie White and Chinchilla had several top 3 finishes in the Children’s Eq week one, and had multiple top 3 finishes including finishing 3rd in the Children’s Classic week two.

Maggie White and Catalina HM had a great first show together and finished 5th in the Children’s Classic!

Maureen McIlhany and Borasco were champion in the 0.90 m training jumper and reserve champion in the Novice Child / Adult 0.90 m jumper.

It was a great week, we had so much fun! Great job everyone!
